Columbia Pictures today set a May 2, 2014 release date for the sequel to The Amazing Spider-Man! This means Spidey will be kicking off the summer of 2014!

ah, I remember the Saturday Afternoons of my youth watching those 70s Spiderman movies! In regards to the new movie, Im fine with the recasting and all but seriously...we have almost 50 years of stories about Spidey, can we quit retelling the origin! Skip it and assume the audience can pretend that the Toby Magire stuff is part of the timeline for these movies.

That's my beef with a lot of these superhero movies. They spend so much damn time on the origins of characters that even the general public knows the basics of. If I have to sit through another version of Superman landing in Kansas, I'm going to go nuts. I really liked how The Incredible Hulk handled it and ran through the origin quickly over the opening credits.

Dusty B and Bulin you guys are my heroes. That is one of my many anguishes when it comes to these movies. But on another note I'm not into Andrew Garfield as Peter. Nope he's definitely not Spider-man in my book.

Reviews have started to leak now that the film has shown in a few countries. They have all been very favorable. Seeing a lot of 4 out of 5 stars here.

Regardless of the medium I just can't get into Spider-Man. I find everything done with him seems cartoonish if that makes any sense. I equate all Spider-Man stuff with the Batman movies pre-Christian Bale

IGN gave it a 6/10... reviewer said the film has a darker tone to it, but he seemed iffy about it.

Yet another SpiderMan movie that doesnt follow the comic! He never runs around and fights without his FUCKING MASK!!!
