I've made some progress in my quest to experience the best 3D possible at home and thought I'd share.
Here's the the instructions accoringing to my Coraline Blu-ray:
"For the best 3D experience watch the film in a dark room and set your LCD or plasma TV settings to standard. And allow five minutes for your eyes to adjust."
I’m not sure what “standard settings” means, but I did play with various settings and it helped a lot. On my LCD TV, there are different picture options like: movie, vivid, cool, warm. These all made the 3D look different. I found that the brighter the picture, the better the 3D so I went with vivid. Plus my LCD has a backlight and that made the film pop even more.
If anyone else has tips or insight please share.
