Short review: the first two weren't bad, but three was fucking dire. Four was a slight improvement, but only slight. So, no, I haven't really been enjoying them. I don't imagine five and six are very good, sadly. Did you like them?

Yes....I dug 'em out so I could find out some info on what was going on with that Hammer production back in the day, and they pretty much only had some small puff editorial pieces...

I've always held that the cover for #78 (with Vampi hanging off the logo) is one of those undiscovered and never remembered "iconic" comic covers of the 70s...I love the pose and the weird "tattoo" placement of the issue's title next to the navel...

Edit: I dug out my copy of the Heidi Saha one-shot mag (which is one of the scarcer books published by Warren), and spoke to someone who's sort of a Warren expert, who said it's a pretty sad story. Basically her father financed the mag, so no money was coming out of Warren's pocket, and was trying to use it as a half-ass way to promote his daughter into a modelling career...it's really CREEPY (pun intended) he'd be taking pics of his 14 year old kid in scantily clad outfits for publication.

Yeah, Brian over at ComicBookResrources did it in an Urban Legends column. It is a seriously fucking sad story. There's some suggestion her mother was effectively a proto-pageant parent, living vicariously through her. Nice to have a copy of the book though, if you're a Warren collector.

Also, I can't remember exactly who was instrumental in her stopping, but I have a feeling it might have been Art Adams. As if you needed another reason to love Art Adams.
