I just got a Blu-Ray player last month. I have bought about 20 disc so far. Most I have researched prior to buying and enjoy. Although I am pleased with the outcome there are a few movies that I feel the PQ (Picture Quality) are not up to standard.

I bought 28 Weeks Later, it was $9.99 at Best Buy last week. After watching I felt the that PQ was not up to what I expect on a Blu-Ray.

I see all the collections you guys have, do any disappoint you on a PQ level only, and nothing to do with the movie itself?

A lot of early stuff can be dodgey.

I didn't pick them up, but the Lethal Weapon series has some real problems.

I wasn't surprised that Tomb Raider doesn't look very good. I took a look at the DVD and I get the feeling the movie will never look that sharp.

Underseige doesn't look great until you compare it to the DVD. Then it looks amazing.

Some of my earlier released Blu Rays. Newer ones are awesome though.

It's funny that you mentioned Lethal Weapon, that was the other $9.99 movie I was looking at.

By earlier releases, you mean when the actual Blu-Ray was released, nothing to when when the film was released, right?

Yeah, I have a copy of An American Werewolf in London that looks amazing, but Boondock Saints is nothing spectacular compared to the DVD release.

Correct. Many classic movies look amazing.

Even at $10 you may want to stay away from the Lethal Weapon series. They are bad enough I’d expect a re-issue in the next few years.
