I downloaded the album and it's actually pretty good. The girls voice is unreal and I can't understand half of what they say (I think they rap in some sort of African dialect a lot of the time), but they have some dope beats and a real unique sound.

Incidentally, as a preteen I unwittingly saw Rupert Holmes perform live in concert. No shinola! He opened for the Little River Band. Even then -- many, many years before I had even the faintest idea about what was cool/what wasn't -- I knew I had witnessed something horribly, horribly wrong.

I have no memory of Holmes performing "Lunch Hour," though I may well have blocked that out as too traumatic.

They are somehow better without the videos. This way you are forced to concentrate on how truly terrible the music and lyrics (and I use those terms very loosely) are. I dunno, I guess some people could argue this is avant-garde art. But it sounds close to unlistenable to me.

Jeremy, I can't believe you submitted this-it's awesome. Like half of ABBA with an aerobics class for the back up dancers. Loved it.

Really, the video is more "From Hell" than the song is, but still felt that perhaps someone would find is worthy of the distinction. I think the cheerleaders are supposed to be the chemicals inside of us getting freaky when we're feeling the lovin' feeling, but that could just be my interpretation. Also, notice their shirts say DnA on them. Fun stuff.

I have been to Baltimore a couple of times, and it is very much like John Waters' movies. Really weird. I didn't see anyone who resembled Divine, but she's pretty unique I'd say. Oh, and I have a Divine single on vinyl: Walk Like a Man. It's fucking abysmal. She's freakin awesome though.

Somewhere along the way the Residents put out two greatest hits collections -- one called Heaven and the other Hell. This one was on the latter, so it's actually a hit from Hell.

This is my least favourite song ever. The year was 2001, and I was working in a fabric warehouse. As with most warehouses, the radio was for the most controlled by the senior member of the staff, despite his complete lack of anything approaching musical taste. Commercial radio decided this was the Australian feel good hit for the spring, and played the living bollocks out of it. I hate this song - every second of it - with a passion I simply cannot summon for any other.

I loved "Wavy Gravy" . Wasn't it strange that the tracks differed on the vinyl and cd versions? My favourites were thesensitive study of mental illness -"The Rubber Room" by Porter Waggoner , "Loch Ness Monster" by King Horror and that weird version of "Wild Thing" by Senator Bobby (Chip Taylor, I think?).

Anbody Kenny Everett's two "Bottom Twenty" radio shows with gems such as "The Puppet Song" by Hughie Green and "The Deal" by Pat Campbell. I thought "I want my Baby Back" by Jimmy Cross was great though.

The Frogs knew how to put on a show. I don't believe they are touring anymore, but I still consider them Milwaukee's finest. This song is actually pretty good in my opinion, however, I do believe it has Hit From Hell potential.

I have "It's Only Right And Natural", and "Starjob". The songs on Starjob aren't bad, but they sound better to me when they go with a lo-fi approach. Kind of like Liz Phair, with "Exile In Guyville". I haven't heard "Nipple Clamps", but there is no doubt in my mind that it is as good as you say it is.
