Hey Ken and Gang, I'm only a little ways though your latest epic podcast but I already feel the need to make a comment.

I can relate to your story about placebo buttons, as most of the walk signal buttons we have here seem to be hooked up to nothing and don't expedite the street crossing process in any significant way. However, there is one street crossing in my immediate area that seems to be an exception, in fact, it seems to be precisely the reverse of what you described on your show.

The crossing in question used to have a standard pushbutton arrangement that changed the light when it was damn good and ready, and it was the same for as long as I can remember.

But recently, I'd say within the last year or so, they replaced the old push button with a new one that's just a little hole that you put your finger over. When you do this, it makes a loud "chirp" sound then -and this is the kicker- you get a walk light almost immediately. It's the weirdest thing, because it's the only place where I live where it's done this way. I don't know what's going on, but I thought it was worth mentioning.

Once again, great show, I'll be listening to the rest over the course of my morning commute this week, and hopefully I'll be back with even more boring insights about traffic signals where I live. Or something.

Anyway...

I'm probably going to end up on an FBI list now that I've blown this crossing signal conspiracy wide open.

If I vanish, you'll know why.

Stacey: "It's a Rock Fight, it's not a Folk Singer Fight." :)

Only an hour in, but wanted to say while I'm thinking of it thanks again for the grins.

Also, Mike Fischer makes an important point about Zombie MJ. Would not be cool, man.

This will be a helpful visual aid when you listen to this week's show!

Great show so far. The "Let's Fuck up the Podcast" had me rollin' :D . I don't know how you were able to get clips of Plan 9 from Cyberspace. I'd rather listen to 2 hours of "Fingernails on a Chalkboard" the podcast. You mentioned that was episode #80, hilarious.

I miss drunk Lita Ford talking about her tits. ;)

The Canadian Lita Ford should be back on Saturday.

Another Let's Fuck up the Podcast segment, too.

I don't think we're going to make new friends this week, either.
