View Full Version : Slim PS3 Surfaces on Amazon Germany

After the first alleged spy pics appeared on the Internet in May, rumors have been rife about the imminent launch of a slim PlayStation 3. Now, adding fuel to the fire, Amazon Germany has put up the product on its website. Granted, this is merely a placeholder without any price or product details, but it is relevant, especially barely a month before major fairs such as IFA, CEDIA and the Tokyo Game Show.

This has been rumored since the PS3 was originally released. I just wish they would go back to making models like the original 60GB. I have an original 60 and everybody loves it. It's a shame they quit making what many consider the only "fully functional PS3."

Yea, gotta agree with you there, I myself bought the 20GB right when it came out (since upgraded to 160GB) but have long since been very happy that I had the fully backwards compatible PS3.

I got my PS3 first year too. I'll buy a second one though if it drops in price this fall. Do you guys think it will?

The media has been reporting potential drops in the PS3 prices for months now. First it was April. Then it was July. Newest line through the internet waves is that Thanksgiving will see a drop. I won't believe it until Sony comes out and says they will. v

Thanks for posting this link. I'm pretty confident there will be a price drop before Christmas 2009.
