Former child actor Corey Haim reportedly died Wednesday morning of an apparent overdose, the LAPD has told TMZ. The 38-year-old star rose to fame along with his on-screen friend Corey Feldman in 1980s classics such as 'The Lost Boys' and 'License to Drive.'

I guess it was inevitable, but I always liked him. License to Drive was the first movie I watched in the U.S., at the ripe old age of 7 - I think I watched it 4 or 5 times on cable before the end of my exciting stay.

when I was young a friend of mine told me I looked like Haim in Dream a Little Dream. I instantly started dressing like a nutjob. I feel like a part of me died today.

That said, I am glad no one told me I looked like Feldman. I could have ended up dressing like M. Jackson.

I think he died from using all his life and he tried to be sober again and that sent his body into shock. It was the lack of drugs that killed him???

In the movie, Haim plays a corrupt cop who gets involved in the lives of 6 troubled kids.

We spoke with Executive Producer Zenon Kesik, who said, "Corey was a professional and had no sign of any drug abuse at all."

Kesik says he did not require that Corey submit to a drug test, because, "He was straight. He didn't appear to be on any substance whatsoever."

Kesik says the movie is due to be released mid-April."

Friday the 13th: The Final Chapter, Gremlins, The Goonies, Stand by Me, The 'burbs, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Rock 'n' Roll High School Forever... forget about it. What did Haim ever do that was any good WITHOUT Feldman? Lucas? Prayer of the Rollerboys? C'mon.
