So even though Ken added her to the boner stash, I thought she deserves some discussion...

...Holly is trying to convince me that Mad Men is a good show, I am SLOWLY working my way through season 1 and it's not grabbing me. Am I crazy? Why can't Hendricks be more in it? DOES she get more screen time eventually...? This will help me decide if I should keep watching...

I kept hearing all kinds of great stuff about it, so I put it on my DVR. When I finally got around to watching an episode I found it hard to get through. It seemed overly dry and talky to me.

I figured I'd better give it a chance, given all the people who love the living fuck out of it, so I watched another one and actually couldn't get all the way through it. After that they just started piling up on the dvr. Feeling that I had put a sincere effort into trying to like the show, I finally pulled the plug on it a few months later.

Truth is, I don't even remember her from the episodes I watched. I'm sure she was there, but I was so not into what I was watching that I must have missed her.

So no. You aren't crazy, Mr. Crazy. At least I don't think so, for whatever that's worth.

How does she even get through the day? I imagine 5 car pile-ups whenever she crosses the street. Milk bottles explode whenever she passes by them. Eyeballs pop from heads and tongues hit the floor and roll out like carpets. It's pandemonium whenever she walks out the door.

This show is brilliant, guys. (True, it is not action-packed, although a guy does get his foot run over by a riding lawn mower at one point, splattering blood everywhere.) It is subtle, and subtle is not what the Movies About Girls podcast is all about, as a rule. As an aside, and because I'm getting all highbrow here, I would totally fuck Joan Holloway.
