For some reason the there is an episode of Party Down on the Starz site that hasn't yet aired. Lizzie Caplan + hot tub.

Steve Guttenberg's birthday (http://www.starz.com/originals/PartyDown/ScreeningRoom#/steve-guttenberg's-birthday/)

Sure you got full frontal in True Blood but here she doesn't have Stephen Root tied up in the basement.

Question: Do guys fantasize themselves with the actress, or the character?

Thank you for bringing Lizzie Caplan in a hot tub to my attention. She is very pretty.

I tried to answer your question but ended up writing a couple of paragraphs of mumble. Sorry.

I have never seen True Blood or know who Lizzie Caplan is, but thank you for bringing Party Down to my attention; it looks like a good show.

It's from the new season, sweet!
A little too much drama, but way worth it.

Mumbles are cool, you should have posted them.

Here's a quick tip for guys: Always say the character. Unless you happen to actually be personally aquatinted with the the actress of course. It makes you seem much more thoughtful and attractive. If you say the actress it's like saying you just want the body, whereas when you say the character it's because you are attracted to the person the actress has created (with the hot body attached :), as a pleasant bonus). Panties get damp for guys who are into women as people rather than just flesh. Trust me, if you were to tell a lady that you lust for Lizzy Caplan's Party Down character but her True Blood character skeeves you out, there will be far more lubrication. Look at it this way, envisage two scenarios 1) guy describing a women based on her thoughts, her personality, her quirks, even her flaws. 2) guy yelling Tig O'l bitties! Ayooo-ga! Which guy is going to get laid?

If you don't know the actress personally or any of the characters she plays, all you can really judge her on is her looks. I also think that you can say 'actress' if you've seen interviews with the person and like the personality that they present. But really, I can't really put either choice in an easy black or white category; there's to many variables. One way in which I think your theory would fail is if you told Lizzy Caplan that you really liked her characters, but couldn't stand her as a person; no dampness would occur, I'd venture to say. But then again, I'm not a girl.

I dunno. I think I prefer to answer the question honestly, rather than worry about how somebody interprets my answer. I mean -- I can't control another person's reaction. All I can control is what I think.

CindyT, I'm not saying I'm right or that you're wrong. But in the end, I hope that my girlfriend loves me because I'm a good guy who treats her well. And not because I did not live up to her expectations on a multiple choice quiz:-)
