Evil Dead Blu-ray Coming Soon

One of the movies with the most home video releases ever is now going high-def. An early announcement to retailers indicates that, on August 31, Anchor Bay entertainment will release Sam Raimi's The Evil Dead on Blu-ray. There is no information regarding technical specifications or special features at this stage.

We have the "Book of the Dead" DVD editions of Evil Dead 1 and 2. Yet somehow I think we will end up with the BR as well. I'm curious, at least, to see if it gets much better with BR.
