Sometimes you pick up a new copy of a movie you like just to see an updated version or maybe a directors cut. But we all know that we love it when our movies are chock full of special features. From Featurettes to Commentaries, we can't get enough. Hell sometimes we buy movies that are essentially nothing but special features. So let's find out what the most beloved special feature is.

I had to go with Deleted/Extended Scenes. Nine times out of ten I wish they left those scenes in the movie. This "Oh it was too long" shit is for the birds. Give us the brutally long cuts if it means giving the viewers the best experience possible.

I had (still have) a laser disc player which was out before even DVD hit it big. So, I have been watching commentaries for as long as I can remember. However, over the past 5 years (maybe longer), I don't think i have watched a single extra feature on a dvd outside of a gag reel. To me, once you have heard 20-30 commentaries, they are all the same. You get a few laughs here and there, but they are standard talk and if you follow movies anyways, there is nothing they are going to tell you that you didn't already know.

I love to fine out how the movies are made. Although, a close second would be outtakes.

I like the making of documentaries. It's intriging to watch how a movie is made especially ones with alot of special effects. I also like commentaries, but I have only one gripe with it. I wish instead of watching the movie to hear the commentary, that you can put it in MP3 format so i can listen to it on your ipod. I just hate it that if you just want to listen to the commentary, you have to pop in the dvd and watch the movie. Does anyone else feel the same?

I love the making of documentaries. I almost always watch those. It's rare that I will listen to feature lenght commentary. I do think all DVD/blu-ray discs should have all teasers and trailers.

Once upon a time, I would have said the commentaries. Unfortunately, I don't *ever* get the time to sit through those anymore . . . .

So I'll go with the behind-the-scenes featurettes. I particularly like the ones where you actually see the movie being filmed, and the actors doing their thing. It all looks so bland, so it's neat to see how that footage became something really special after post.

Outtakes are always really fun too.

Personal favorite? Documentaries and featurettes. WHEN they're done well.

Most important? DELETED SCENES! I'm still upset that we didn't get the extra scenes from Videodrome that showed up on TV broadcasts. Only one or two of them are even on YouTube. Both the telephone and limo scenes are still missing!
