OK, Ive seen some really shockingly bad horror movies in the last twelve months, so I was wondering what y'all think is the most dissapointing movie you've seen this year? For me, it's got to be War Wolves (it might have had a different title stateside.) I was SO excited to see this movie (John Saxon! Tim Thomerson! Adrienne Barbeau! Werewolves!!!) only to find it made less sense than your average acid trip with the kind of special effects you associate with early 80's low budget nonsence!

So that's my tip for one to avoid - what are yours?

I'm pretty behind on my horror movie watching so I can't give you a great answer. I did recently watch Martyrs, Pontypool and My Bloody Valentine and thought they were all awesome. I did watch Mother of Tears, which came out last year. That movie REALLY disapointed me. It was just so drawn out.

I'll make sure to post in this thead when I see Drag Me to Hell and Halloween 2.

I can't think of anything this year that disappointed me.

My Bloody Valentine for me. I was hoping it was going to have the quality of High Tension, but it was just another slasher.

Dude, you're crazy! I thought this movie was awesome. It's got tons of awesome deaths and super hot chicks. Plus that miner outfit is so damn creepy!

But yes, it is a slasher with very little plot.

Well, I guess I'm crazy too, but I also have to call My Bloody Valentine the biggest disappointment of the year so far.

This movie was pretty bad. It's just another run of the mill slasher.

But the biggest disappointment of 2009 so far for me is the recent Friday the 13th remake. Urgh... I wish the filmmakers would have taken the material seriously as apposed to doing just another run of the mill studio slasher. I felt like no one involved even saw the previous films.

I gotta agree with Butch. I thought the MBV remake was great.

Sweet!! Man, I thought this was the best slasher I've seen in a while. I've got to watch it again in 3D now that I know how to properly adjust my TV settings.

ExKhaos, you're on your way to winning a copy of Shark Swarm. :D
