Yesterday at Midtown Comics in Times Square, New York City, Marvel busted down the doors on their next “event” series: Fear Itself. This event spins out of the recent Marvel teasers that have hinted at a threat that is much more personal for Marvel’s heroes. Fear Itself will also be a series that is a reflection of the rough economic times we currently live in.
The series will be written by Matt Fraction with art by Stuart Immonen. Fear Itself will kick off in April 2011 and run seven issues total. Matt Fraction says Fear Itself is the biggest Marvel story ever. The story will see eight “worthy” heroes chosen to take on the God of Fear, himself.
