Well, I survived the intial month of buying 52 books, and promised that I would stick it out for at least 6 months, but I find myself unable to keep that promise going into the second issues. Some of the stuff just did not impress me that much from the start, and here's a rant about some of the product that DC is giving us.

Lee Falk's The Phantom has both been credited as possibly the first masked hero to grace newspaper comic strip pages, as well as one of the many inspirations for the modern day superhero...it's a property that's been the subject of several attempts at adaptation on film, and I personally really dig the 1996 live-action attempt starring Billy Zane.
