One week. 7 Days. 168 hours until the start of the 2012 Toronto After Dark Film Festival opens the Bloor Cinema doors to showcase 20 of the best horror, science fiction and cult films this side of any ocean.

We will be back for our 5th year of screenings hoping to catch as many of the 20 films and 29 shorts that our frail body will allow. And what a line-up! The programmers and organizers have outdone themselves this year and all of the 20 entries look like entertaining must-see's. But, if we had to pick five....if a gun was to our head and a chainsaw was between our legs, these are the five films that we are most excited to screen:
