The Raid, what an experience that was. Absolute rush from start to end, relentless ass kickery.

There will never EVER EVER EVER be a Hollywood production with action like this in our lifetimes. It's actually impossible, unless Jason Statham and ALL of the cast and stuntmen manage to master Indonesian Silat.

I know these guys learn and train by actually hitting each other in real life (it's how it's done) but I didn't think they actually would hurt each other on a movie set. These guys were actually hurting each other.

There is no way you could bounce someone's head off any surface at that tempo and repeatedly, off metal cabinets, landing on their backs after being flipped over so many times without getting hurt.

The choreography put a lot of the old classic Asian cinema to shame and most definitely stuck it to the master Bruce Lee in a big way.

It serves up kills by the boat load that put our beloved Jason to shame. If you take "THAT" scene from the newest Rambo movie, add knives, machetes and Silat to the guns to hand and multiply it your getting there.

Just the little things. Such as holding a gun two inches from a dudes face and unloading it repeatedly with the look of "Yeah... TAKE THAT FUCKER.... HAVE SOME MORE.... SWALLOW IT ...FUCKING LOVE IT"

Had the cinema audience cringing at the bone breaking "Ooooooo" and the bro-fest on the back row was in full song.

It never promised much. The concept was simple. A SWAT team... a building full of bad guys who all happen to be martial arts experts. FIGHT!

Most enjoyable movie of the year for me. It betters Avengers for enjoyment factor even if the box office tells a different story.
