Awesome podcast once again. Xander was a nice stand in for the podcast. Glad to hear some love for High Tension. One of my favorite foreign films. But they weren't a lesbian couple Marie was in love with Alexia, and they went to study at Alexia's family "farm". This may help explain the twist at the end of the movie.
Thanks for the kind words everyone. I was Actually pretty damn nervous to be on the show.. It is a completely different format than I am used to but it was a blast and look forward to doing it again sometime.
And KTB I am not a sex maniac.... Event though GregMo calls me Pre Cum Kane and Braimchomper is afraid I will masterbate to his internet girlfriend the same time he does...LOL

High Tension is based on the Dean Koontz novel Intensity. There's actually a more direct adaptation called Intensity starring John C. McGinley as the killer. I haven't seen the former but I'm pretty sure I know what twist you're talking about. When I read the book I felt it worked very well. It wasn't a Sixth Sense kind of reveal but it still worked well in my opinion.
I should always research before I post. Apparently High Tension is just a rip off of Intensity and the only difference is the stupid twist ending. The twist ending of Intensity is actually good. I recommend the book to everybody, it's one of Koontz's best.
Awesome podcast, you guys. Earlier today I looked up and compared the lipstick demon from Insidious, and Darth Maul and they truly do share a striking resemblence. They're almost identical. Anyway, I liked Insidious a lot when I first saw it in theaters, but watching it at home doesn't hold really any replay value.
