I wasn't expecting much from this but after seeing it today.... wow. Best comic book type flick since Nolan's Batman. They did a great job with it. I just don't see where they go with the Marvel universe after this, nothing will be able to touch it.
The pacing is great, the characters are introduced and tied into the storyline perfectly, I am usually put off by CG but they have finally ...after many attempts, have created the perfect Hulk. Veins, pores on the skin, mannerisms and facial expressions, body hair. It's all done right.
The lighting on the CG in the epic battle scenes all blends ridiculously well. I think they used some form of filter for each scene to make everything feel as one.
What an absolute blast.
