ARE YOU FREAKIN SERIOUS!!!!!!! Yes the show is campy, it's a soap opera after all, but this is fucking ridiculous! Up yours Tim Burton! I was expecting something that was haunting, and mysterious, like the show. Not this piece of crap. Will not being seeing this. I don't even know if I'll watch it when it comes out on DVD

Glad I'm not the only one too. It seemed like it should have a laugh track to go with it. This is not Dark Shadows. If he had gone the way of Edward Scissor Hands, a little funny but still dark, I would have been okay with it. But this isn't even close to what the show was. I'll keep my 1966-1971 version.

I think it looks fun as hell. Not being a fan of the show could enable me to say that I suppose, so I sympathize with those that have a passion for it. To me, it looks like the only "proper" feeling Burton movie in over a decade. It reminds me of the tone of Beetlejuice and the like.
