Machete Kills Wants Gibson, Williams, Jaa and Alba

We are all well aware that director Robert Rodriguez is prepping his sequel to last year’s Machete with Machete Kills which is to start production this spring. But what you might not know, and what is being reported by The Horror Asylum, is that Robert R is attempting to get Mel Gibson, Tony Jaa and Michelle Williams to take roles in the mildly anticipated film.

While we let that news sink in……

THA is also reporting that Rodriguez is also wooing Jessica Alba and Michelle Rodriguez (no relation) to return to the franchise and reprise their roles from the first instalment.

Machete Kills will have our favourite machete wielding Machete Cortez teaming up with the U.S. government and battling through Mexico in an attempt to take down an arms dealer who wants to launch a weapon into space.

I’ll let that one sink in too.

I'd love to see Tony Jaa's and Mel's insanities butt heads in a movie. The world might implode.

I think Mel Gibson would be pretty cool. Especially if it's more of a bad guy role, like De Niro as Senator John McLaughlin type character.
