You had the chance to interview Sean Astin, and you turn it down? He may not have the same career as he did when he was younger but he would be one of the better, most known, and most entertaining interviews you have ever had on KR. No offense, but you just interview people in one genre, and majority of people no one has heard of, other than the regulars here. If you want more people on this site, you need to branch out a bit ,and do interviews that the average person would know so you can grab new listeners. That would be the perfect interview for an 80's show! I cannot believe you said no to him. I've noticed that over the past year or so, you have mentioned on the show how many interviews you said "no" to. Personally, I hate interviews unless they are a person of interest.

The Avengers: Liked everyones lists but it's funny, I found Black Widow to be the least interesting character and you all pretty much loved her. At least Butch had some credible evidence to why he liked her, Brainchomper just says he loves her. Hawkeye was kinda cool, but I have never seen him in a comic book before. I got him mixed up with Green Arrow. It's cool to see The Hulk finally getting some love from everyone, especially Hollywood. He is back to true comic book form and could not be happier.

I have to agree with Gregmo on the end credit scene. If they make you wait till after the credits to see them eat at a restaurant and stare at each other, not only are you disappointed, but you are left with "that's it?" Remember the Fast Five after credit sequence? (Who doesn't) That scene blew you away because it not only set up part six but teased at a returning character. Now thats how you do it. Even the one that showed the villain for the next one, left me scratching my head, because if you didn't know who he is, it's not exciting. I would figure they would have had a scene showing Spiderman/Peter Parker would be joining the Avengers in part 2. Now THAT would have been boss!! Concidering the new movie is out this summer, and Spiderman is apart of the Avengers in the comic, it's a no brainer.

A side note on talk about Christopher Nolan and Batman. He is a great director, but he didn't reinvent the Comic Book movie. He just made a decision to put the character of Batman into a realistic world and he was the only one who wanted to do so. Every other director wanted to make the character like the comic. My point is, if any other director decided to do the same thing, the movies would be just as good. My beef is that with every comic book movie that comes out, people bring up what Nolan did for Batman. Batman was a real guy that can easily be placed in a realistic world. His batcave, and vehicles are more down to earth and looked like they are man made with todays technology and not from space. That would not work in the worlds of the Avengers or Superman.

I would have LOVED to be apart of the show, but I was at work when you emailed me. Maybe next time? On a future episode if you record on a Saturday? Also Nice song at the end!! Love Buckcherry!
Once again, Boomer makes commenter of the year.

Here's the deal with Sean Astin. I would LOVE to interview Sean, but not for ten minutes about his new shitty movie. I would kill for a two hour interview with Sean and discuss his career. And I might even be able to get that if I tried.

And in all honestly, I've had a lot of big names on the show, like Terminator Salvation Visual Effects Director, Cloverfield director, actor Richard Jenkins, Blue Valentine director, etc. We have written interviews with people like Vincent D'Onofrio and the writer of THE IRON LADY. None of these interviews brought any additional traffic to the site. Why? Because the outlets that work with us on these interviews do absolutely nothing to help promote them.

    great show guys
im with bc in that i didnt feel any immediate danger at the 3rd act of avengers, ya there were tons of people....dying...that we didnt see, but it didnt feel at all like a "oh shit, they might lose" moment. as fast as the aliens came through the portal they got wiped the fuck out. still as a person who had absolutely no interest in seeing avengers or anything other then iron man, i fucking loved it. and the fact that we got a hint of what the next batch of sequels will lead up too, im super psyched, especailly thanos....the baddest of all fucking bad asses and what i can only assume will include the infinity guantlet.

as for prometheus.....i hate to be the bearer of bad news, but ridley confirmed back in december that there will be !!!!NO!!!! xenomorphs in the flick.

from the shit ive been reading this movie takes place in the universe that the xenomorphs are in and that this movie does take place before alien, but is not an xenomorph origin story. which is a bit upsetting but, i dont want to spoil anyting too much, i am very pleased with what it does reveal

Sorry I'm late to reply but I only just listened to this podcast. I liked how you guys commented on the lack of blood and bruising on characters after a fight or being throw around because I FUCKING HATE THAT. It takes me out of the movie and gives no concern that a character could be in danger of being hurt.

Is it that hard to put a little blood on the mouth or eye after a fight. One scene that keeps coming to mind for some reason is when the female character in Terminator 3 is thrown around the back of the truck as Arnold drives erratically. She then pops up totally unhurt to give a smart ass wise crack. If you where thrown around the back of a van like a rag doll you would probably bleed a little.

Also when Butcher said thousands of people die but you don't see it. What I hate the most is that they try to imply with a few crappy shots of people being evacuated from a building that when you do see the buildings get destroyed you are meant to believe they are empty. I fucking hate that. Is it too explicit to show a couple of bodies and some blood. No it's not for fucks sake.

By the way Butcher I posted a review on itunes ages ago but it's the Australian store. I tried the States but couldn't post. You should look at other countries to see if people have posted. Keep up the great work.

I'm glad you mentioned this. I was confused when BC said that he was, but he seemed so sure of it that I didn't say anything.
