The Munsters Find Their Lily
The reboot of the television series The Munsters started shooting this week with eyebrows still raised over the lead acting choice.
As reported earlier, Mason Cook has been cast as young Eddie. Eddie Izzard will play Grandpa and in a casting WTF, Jerry O’Connell was cast as Herman Munster.
But who will play Lily Munster?
That role goes to Portia De Rossi (Ms. Degeneres). Mariana Klaveno was originally attached to star but was unable to free herself from prior scheduling commitments.
Bryan Singer (X-Men, Superman Returns) is directing the pilot and the show will fight for a position on the NBC schedule next year.
