GSPWDT #3: Show Feedback / Listener Questions
Recorded June 22, 2012
In this super laidback episode Xander, Mallory and Butcher run though show feedback and answer a handful of listener questions: What got you guys hooked on gaming? What are some of the most challenging games you've finished? What are some of your most memorable gaming moments? What do you feel is the biggest problem with the gaming industry as it is today? And many more!
Games discussed include: Marble Madness (Arcade), Eternal Champions (Sega Genesis), Gauntlet (NES), Ghosts N' Goblins (NES), Metroid (NES), Dark Souls (XBOX-360), Final Fantasy 7 (PS1), Fallout 3 (XBOX-360), Borderlands (XBOX-360) and a ton more!

I always wondered why Butcher was playing so much Bullet Witch... Now I know.
I did start my town of Sunnydale in Minecraft... I put in over 20 overs on that... its pretty difficult though, I haven't played in awhile but I'm close to finishing the Library. I'll share some pics when complete, or make a video.
Hi Butch,
I'd like to see some time dedicated to classic/vintage game systems like Atari 2600, Intellivision, Coleco, Nintendo, etc. I know they're nowhere near as complex as the newer systems but they were the foundation of all consoles to come.
Also, Nice touch by adding the music to the games in the into/outro

[QUOTE=The Butcher;112230]Jesus! Is this forum topic dead or what!
I for one am just waiting patiently for the next Killerreviews podcast. Not much of a gamer myself sorry to say.
The Super-Vixens Feeding your heroine addiction!
First of I wanted to tell you ladies and Gents that it's MA-Z. Like Maserati but without the s.
My question is, What games are you waiting to pre-order? For me, Hitman, Ni no Kuni, GTA5, RE 6 but maybe...I read some things that made me have concerns.
Fun show once again.
I liked the talk about achievements/trophies. I have the touch of OCD when it comes to games and I always feel like I have to be getting 100% on every game, but the rational part of me knows there's way too much shit to play and not enough time in my life to do it. What I usually do is get as many achievements as I can within a respectable amount of time, usually until I just get sick of the game and want to move on to something else, and tell myself I can get back to the others once I feel like playing the game again, even if I never do but at least it settles my OCD down about it. I was playing through Arkham City for instance, trying to get the various achievements until I just get really fucking sick of doing the same thing over and over so I finally said screw it and moved on to Split/Second.
It was also cool that you gave a quick shout-out to Breakdown. That's one of the very few games I paid $50 for on release day and loved it. It's also one of the only games to be so frustrating at one point, where you're in a room towards the end having to beat up mobs comprised of every variety of enemy in the game with no checkpoints, where I got so pissed that I started whipping the controller to the ground screaming "Motherfucker!" over and over.
Any of you guys play Eternal Champions for the Sega CD? My brothers and I played that for most of a year once. It's basically a super-version of the Genesis game but much better looking, so many more characters and secret deaths, and CGI cutscenes. The humor put in it was great, too. For instance, the hidden character that was a state Senator and his special moves involved stuff like throwing "red tape" at you and a missile-launching fatality. I've actually been thinking of picking up the whole Genesis/Sega CD combo again just to play it again.
Decent show again guys. You could tell you were drained and a bit slurry though. Butch, how could you not expand on Eternal Champions? This is still to this day, the only fighting game I ever got into. Xander.. We played this so much that we had the 6 button controllers and played tournaments religiously. I actually went through every character and wrote down their moves for my friends. My favorite was Rax, Butcher's was Jetta. Of course he always had the edge on me.
BTW...I try not to judge, but even I was astonished that you guys jerk off to video game vixens.
