If you were a fan of director Josh Trank’s work on this year’s Chronicle, you may get excited now that Twentieth Century Fox has hired Trank to direct the reboot of The Fantastic Four.
The studio confirmed the movie and added that they will begin production on the film after The Wolverine and The X-Men: First Class sequel are completed.
The Fantastic Four was originally brought to the big screen back in 2005 with Ioan Gruffudd, Michael Chiklis, Chris Evans and Jessica Alba playing astronauts Reed Richards, Ben Grimm, Johnny Storm and Sue Storm/Richards who inherit superpowers after being exposed to cosmic radiation.
With the shooting schedule not likely to take place until late 2013 or more likely 2014, we don’t expect to hear any casting news or story outlines until that time. In fact, with the project so far away, we would not be surprised if Josh Trank is long gone before shooting starts.

This is already a better sign than the dipshit who did the Barbershop movies doing the last ones. And I still say they should get Wesley from Buffy/Angel to play Richards.
Great, another piece of shit

DustyB, I agree. That's who I wanted the first time.
Well I knew this was going to happen eventually. Everything is being rebooted. Pretty soon they'll start remaking celebrities. I liked the other ones as crazy as that sounds. They are fun to watch but if they can improve on it I welcome the reboot.
