And just as The Fantastic Four gets a director, another Marvel franchise loses one. Yesterday, it was confirmed that David Slade (The Twilight Saga: Eclipse) is no longer attached to the reboot that once had star Ben Affleck donning a red leather suit.
According to Twentieth Century Fox’s website, "The studio has a script it likes, but has to get the film into production by fall or risk losing the property back to Marvel Studios and Disney," And since Slade is working presenting on directing the Hannibal series for NBC television, his schedule was full and he had to pull out.
