The Rock as Lobo?

The superhero film train keeps rolling along picking up stragglers (Ant Man, Guardians of the Galaxy) for big budget theatrical productions. The latest of which is the DC property of LOBO which has none other than Dwayne Johnson in negotiations to play the title character.

LOBO is a DC property who is an alien mercenary who likes his motorbikes almost as much as he likes his violence. Producer Joel Silver and director Brad Peyton are working on bringing the character to the big screen and Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson took to Twitter this week to write “"Rumours of me possibly playing LOBO are true,.. That could be fun…"

Peyton and The Rock have worked together previously with Journey 2: The Mysterious Island which hit theatres in 2011.
