Default Guillermo Del Toro Ponders A Hellboy 3

If a third Hellboy movie is indeed going to happen, we just may have to thank the Make A Wish Foundation for making it happen.

Last month, Ron Pearlman answered a Make A Wish charity request and attended a function in full Hellboy make-up and gear. The story went viral and now director Guillermo Del Toro is said to be so moved by the love still out there for his comic book adaptation that he is hinting that a third Hellboy movie may soon be in the offing.

"I can say publicly that now we are together in trying [to do Hellboy 3]" said Del Toro to Entertainment Weekly. "We’re going to make an effort to do it. I hope it happens."

But is actor Ron Perlman willing to go one final round as Big Red? Hell yes. Pearlman tells Entertainment Weekly, "The [first] two movies were really set up to have this unbelievable resolve. Everything that was done in both movies was leading up to this destiny, written in stone, of what Hellboy has been summoned to Earth to do."

Guillermo Del Toro is attached to multiple projects (5 as a producer and 2 as a director), so his playbill is relatively full at the moment. Still, from the sounds of those involved, it sounds like this has a better than average chance of actually happening.

I can honestly say that I am open to a third Hellboy that closes the loop and gives me a nice box set for my DVD shelf when it is all said and done.

Ahh that would be great, honestly think Perlman was born to play Hellboy. He clearly had a blast dressing up as the dude again, and what an awesome guy to do that for a young fan. It's so great when your favourite actors turn out to be really cool people.

As long as the packaging is a nice cardboard square right? Not some huge god awful tin shaped like the hand of doom that won't fit anywhere except up the ass of the guy whose idea it was.

Hopefully Guillermo Del Toro finds the time to make this happen.
