Oh, and fuck Kevin Costner. I can't stand anything he's in except for Field of Dreams.
I'd go with James Brooks because I love As Good As It Gets.

My vote goes for Boyz N the hood. That shit was raw back then, and Ice Cube was straight gangsta! but for all seriousness a great movie.
