Ok, am going to try and get a couple of things on here this weekend. I have a netflix dvd called Rabies (who knows) so we'll see.

Here is my first post in my own little corner!! Yay!! Basically - I watched this movie and typed up notes along the way. There will be SPOILERS so there is your warning. Please let me know if there are other things that you would like to see in my corner! Thanks for reading and I hope you all enjoy!!

Rabies – First ever Israel horror movie – Kalavet (rage, fury and madness)

Starts off with black screen – a girl is trapped in some sort of trap. Kind of incestuous – with the girl saying that they shouldn’t have told Dad and the guy saying they aren’t doing anything wrong. Ofer (guys name) walks off and you hear him scream.

Truck with a big German Shepherd, couple – discussing the rich kids who ran away. Menashe (Menashe Noy) and Rona (Efrat Boimold) – and Buba (dog) She walks off and he leaves in the truck.

2 guys with a couple of girls in back seat – look like complete yuppies. Pretty boys and girls. Pini (Ofer Shechter) (blonde guy) Adi (brunette girl).
Menashe – writing evaluation of campsite. The dog runs off barking, so the guy follows with a gun with a scope. Mike (Ran Danker) (brunette guy) Shir (Yael Grobglas) (blonde girl) – needs to pee so they stop and she runs off into the woods. Pini – top 5 sexy things, watching a girl pee, girl shaving her legs. Shir comes back – couldn’t pee, thought something was going to get her, they start to drive away when they hit a guy. (good jump scare)

Flash to guy standing over the trap –

Back to tennis yuppies – the blonde keeps looking and then freaking out. Mike tries to take his pulse and the guy gets up (Ofer?) Tells them that she’s still in the forest, his sister, came running for help. Ofer tries to get them to go with him, Mike and Pini will go and the girls stay with the vehicle to try and call for help.

Guy pulls the girl out of the trap and choloroforms her. Menashe still wandering around the woods, looking in scope for Buba. Hears the dog barking and Buba runs up to the man, girl is waking up. Kills the dog, mother fucker – DAMMIT….had to fast forward, girl runs away – going to piss off Menashe. Now, call to police about lost kids and to get to the fox reserve. Yuval and Danny are the cops.

Tennis guys and Ofer walking and flash to girl being chased by muthafucker, she runs right into a tree – dumbass and he catches her. Menashe still looking for Buba and finds him, pissed!!!!! See the guy with the girl and shoots at them with a tranq dart. Did he miss? Camera work is a really shaky right here. Girl was dropped, guy nowhere to be seen. Menashe goes to help the girl, dart sticking out of back. Rona calls on the radio, see the guy and he was shot with the dart, can see he is feeling a bit woozy. Drops to the ground.

Cops pull up to girls, ends up making them spread against the vehicle. Don’t believe the girls after they tell their story. Menashe gets the unconscious girl in his truck but it won’t start.

The guys find Buba and the trap with the girl missing. The girls name Tali (Liat Harley) – Mikey tries to call Shir. The cop (Yuval) is a dick, doesn’t let Shir answer her phone, harassing the girls.

Ofer wants to keep finding his sister, Pini tries to get Mikey to leave. Pini steps and they tell him to stop, looks down and says Fuck – doesn’t show what it is.

Back to Yuval searching the girls bare legs - obviously fingering Shir (look on her face is pain). Adi looking at Yuval’s gun. Pini stepped into a big ass bear trap and we see Ofer’s wound for the first time, Big ass knife wound on the side. They decide to hold the sides and Pini is going to jump on 3 (bad idea, going to take their hands off.

Flash to girls, Adi got Yuval’s gun, Danny trying to calm situation down and Yuval just keeps pushing her. Yuval basically tells her she’s going to cry. Guys are fighting, obviously, they got Pini out and Ofer takes off. Hear a gunshot, Adi took off Yuval’s fingers. Pretty gory, very realistic. The girls take off running.

Ofer still yelling for Tali – see Menashe carry Tali . Yuval again saying that Danny should have shot Adi – teach her a lesson – he is seriously fucked up. He handcuffs Danny to the steering wheel. Danny says he can’t cover for him anymore. Yuval is going to clean up the mess.

Girls in the woods. Shir thanks Adi for what she did. Shir goes to pee, says she’s been holding it in. Back to Danny in the car, dispatch calls in – Danny doesn’t answer. Adi gets through to Mikey – call is there for a minute but then dropped. Adi picks up a sign that says Danger Mines. Shir had been peeing next to a mine the whole time, starts walking towards Adi – music swell like something is going to happen, then nothing, lol. Yuval shows up and knocks Adi out.

Pini wants to head back to the road, they start arguing about the girls. Pini finds out Shir and Mikey are together – Mikey tells him he’s nuts. Now Pini is pissed cuz he’s not going to get laid – apparently he wanted to get with Shir. Pini wants the keys, Mikey won’t give them up. They start fighting for the keys, pretty pussy fighting, grabbing each other’s clothes and Mike punches Pini in the face really bad, blood everywhere.

To girls – Yuval says he was going to make her cry, Shir finds the gun but doesn’t shoot. Adi is able to slam Yuval down onto a spike sticking out of the ground. That was very well done. Danny is now driving the car (found key – calling for Yuval). Adi searching Yuval’s pockets, Yuval’s still alive…Yuval’s father calling about him wrecking his car. Yuval dies. Danny trying to call his wife again.

Mikey wondering with Pini following him – calls Shir that going back to car for first aid kit. Tells Shir to go back to car, Pini following with rock. Back to Danny explaining to wife that she trampled on his heart so he wanted her to feel the same way. Pini comes up behind Mike and slams him in the back of the head with the rock.

Mike is still up – guys staring at each other. Pini looks like a crazy man with all the blood on his face. Mikey looks like a zombie, blank look. He takes a couple of steps and then falls to the ground. Pini drops the rock and runs away.

Ofer - - bleeding – finds Menashe carrying Tali, assumes he is the one to hurt her. Comes upon a little motor home. Ofer starting to lose consciousness – Menashe doesn’t see him. Looking for something – scissors, to cut the bands around her wrists, Ofer sturggles to get up. Good camera work making it blurry as if trying to stay conscious. Menashe goes over to a tent like structure as the scissors he found didn’t work, comes out carrying a pair of pliers. Ofer sees a sledge hammer, Menashe cut his hand with the pliers. Ofer coming up behind him as Menashe trying to clean out wound with the sledge hammer and nails Menashe in the head. Really nasty face wound – tries to tell Ofer he saved her but Ofer slams him with the sledge hammer again – holy shit. That is horrible!!

Pini – still running –

Ofer wakes Tali and she tells him that Menashe wasn’t the one. Ofer tries to move Menashe. Flash to girls trying carry Yuval, Adi starts crying..Shir tries to comfort her. Adi looks like she’s going to make a move on Shir, when they hear a vehicle. Think the road is near, Adi wants Shir to go see if it’s the boys. Shir starts walking away when Adi hits a land mine and blows up – Holy fucking shit that was really super loud.

Danny in his car looking around – phone starts vibrating. Wife calls – apologizes and says that she never heard him talking like that – she wants to get back together for real this time. They named their private parts Pinnochio and Bella – sick. Danny takes off. Rona tries calling Menashe’s radio while Ofer and Tali are burying him – Rona talks about not the best way to break the news that Menashe is going to be a daddy – so sad!! He was a decent guy trying to do the right thing. Voice over of Rona and dirt.

Now back to serial killer – has been extremely irrelevant – Shir walking through the woods switching between the two of them. Shir has now found the road, walking down the middle of it with gun still in hand. She’s going to get taken out by the cop. Danny trying to get help - is yelling at her to put the gun down and she shoots him, so he fucking nails her with his car. What the fuck is this movie about?

Is the serial killer going to be the only one to survive? Danny leaves Shir dead in the road. Back to Tali and Ofer, Ofer looks pretty bad, kissing – gross. Tali tells Ofer to close his eyes for five minutes and she’ll wake him up. Danny runs his car into a piling – trying to get home? Tries to climb through window, grabs a childs slide – falls into kitchen. Why doesn’t he call 911 (or equivalent)? Into bathroom, sits on tub, falls in, trying to stop bleeding. Goes black and hear his wife calling his name – she listens to the machine, finds him in the bathroom, he doesn’t want her to listen to the message. He tells her that he loves her and dies.

Back to forest, very cool cinematography with smoke through the trees. Tali wakes up to discover that Ofer is dead, and the forest is on fire (actually thought she was going to leave him there for a minute.)She settles back on his chest and seems to accept her lot – smoke inhalation. Really - ?? Smoke covers the screen.

Pini – finds the road, and the vehicle. Gets in car – still doesn’t have the keys though. Finds hand wipes and starts cleaning up – blood looks real. Searching for keys – hears a honk, a family lost. Pini is able to get a ride with this family – hello – aren’t you a little concerned with all the blood. Now, the vehicle won’t start – and the movie fucking ends. Credits roll and then we see the man in coveralls trying to thumb a ride on the main road. Black screen.

Ok – thoughts, the cinematography was amazing and the acting/special effects were really well done. The sub titles were a bit off-putting, but didn’t interfere all that much.

I liked how they seemed to be trying to go for a day-light slasher flick but it quickly became something else. Obviously, rabies has nothing to do with the movies, apparently the translation gets a bit lost. The true name means rage or fury which explains a lot. I think that the directors of this movie made a really good first film and I would be interested to see their next attempt – minus the animal killing, damn it!!

Rating for Rabies - 3.5/5 - check it out if you are interested in seeing some good effects and acting!!

Here we are – back in my own little corner. This is a movie I think I heard about from somewhere but can’t remember where so sorry that I can’t give some props!! *****SPOILER WARNING*****

Synopsis - A parapsychologist team are asked to investigate Apartment 143. The White family, who have lost their wife/mother in a car crash, have been experiencing strange things since they moved in to the apartment. But, they were also experiencing things at their old place. After the team set up their equipment, they get some compelling evidence on camera.

My notes - Film opens up in a car – Paul and Ellen along with Dr. Helzer - talking about going to this apartment. Start unpacking equipment into this apartment. They meet the home owner and his little boy (Benny). S^et up cameras throughout the film – cute little dog running around. Home-owners daughter is not happy about having a film crew. Some thumps and noises in the walls. Hardly any tenants in building, they pull out emf scanners. Very loud thumps, brings the daughter out of her room, grabs the little boy and takes him into the bathroom.

Screen goes black and they start interviews with the home owner – Alan White and son Benny. Wife died, reached out to the institute because things in the house previously lived in became odd. They revamped wires, there were things flying in kitchen, typewriter being used. Benny claims it is his mom – says he talks to her. Caitlin (daughter) would get scratches on her legs, father moved to keep kids safe. Seemed like things were ok for a week or so, then started up again.

Caitlin and Benny sitting in living room watching tv, footage of others throughout the apartment. The daughter just seems to be staring into space. Benny runs off with dog.

Ellen is taking pictures – has little boy help. Switching to different cameras – Paul enjoys kind of fucking with the little boy, telling him the motion detectors are lasers that will cut off his feet. The daughter is obviously still pissed, says it’s all her dad’s fault, doesn’t want them anywhere around her.
Interview with Alan – says that Caitlin blames him about the mother’s death. Caitlin believes that he should have been there with her – mother died car accident. The father feels lost – says that the daughter would listen to the mother, doesn’t understand how she did it. The camera light seems to be changing color while the conversation goes on.

Switch to daughters bedroom – she is writing at desk, father and son watching tv. Doorbell rings, Paul brings in a paper bag, phone rings and Benny answers it – saying that nobody is there. Alan takes the phone – no one on the phone. Puts it down and phone rings again immediately. Paul starts taking pictures when Alan answers the phone. Benny says it’s Mom – and the doorbell rings, lights go out – they run to the door and there is no one there. Noises in the kitchen but there doesn’t seem to be any disturbances. Starts the kettle for tea. Phone starts ringing, doorbell, dog is barking at some spot on the wall. They set up to record – Alan claims it’s getting cold. Answer the phone – super loud noises, screams – knocks Paul down – phone gets thrown to the ground but continues to ring.

Family goes to bed. Ellen checks on Benny – brings tea and start talking about the family. Ellen falls asleep – Paul is analyzing data – looking at footage. Ellen wakes up – they both are looking at still pictures – seems to find a figure in one of the pictures. There is definitely a woman standing behind the daughter. Paul goes to kiss Ellen and she brushes him off – she goes to get sleep.

Camera out by door– something sliding along the floor, the bench. Camera actually pans down and away from the door, where the motion detectors seem to be going off. Door opens, into dining room. Dr. sleeping on couch. Both Paul and Ellen have fallen asleep at computers. Lights start going out. They are twitching a bit – computer comes on.

All of a sudden – it’s morning. Father tries to wake daughter – tells him to fuck off, and to shut the fucking window. He’s pissed, grabs her and tries to get her out of bed. Don’t fucking touch her – asks if he’s going to watch her get dressed and he immediately leaves, slams dining room door.

Caitlin is extremely rude at breakfast – dumps bowl of sugar into dad’s coffee. They find a picture that was previously right side up, now upside down. Lights start flickering, bulbs burst and something falls from the ceiling. Now it shows the Dr with something that is blurred out, some type of transmitter to help chase out spirit? Paul banging on air conditioner, father is starting to look worse. Ellen and Benny playing with Zelda (dog). Back inside. They say that everything seems to be clean, but then the door slams shut and Zelda starts barking at something on the wall.

They get head cameras – trying something else. Night vision cameras – goes black, flash lighting – strobing all around the room. Swings back over and starts again. Still nothing. Back once more – light seems to be going slower, then faster and catches something in the middle of the room. A female figure. They all scream and they turn on the lights. Paul is suddenly on the subway with some equipment – a recorder within a chamber to ensure validity. Seem to be doing some evp work. Dr. asks a series of questions – waits for a time between questions.

Listening back to tape – Ellen seems to be sewing, nothing on the tapes yet. Dr joins Alan on couch – nice camera work. Can’t see their heads and then Ellen asks if they can feel it – draft in the dining room, drapes moving and everything starts going off. Filming in kids room, something is messing with his daughter – nightshirt is being pulled up. He runs into her room to wake her and she screms at him. Starts to become clear that daughter thinks he is molesting her.

Alan and Dr – claims that there is something supernatural with dr telling him there is no supernatural – nature can’t transcend itself. Spontaneous and recurring telekinesis – poltergeist. Poltergeist associated with someone alive – violent, come about where people are going through extreme stress – psychic energy being channeled.

Alan lets someone in the door – Grandpa! Alan asks Caitlin to come say hi to grandpa, she never comes out – Benny is going with Grandpa along with Zelda. Dr saying that getting Benny out – eliminate him as the cause. Bring in another man – a sensitive. Drinks a glass of water – advises them to not get carried away with emotions. Seems to go into some kind of trance – Dr starts asking questions. When asking if there is anyone there– the girls eyes go white. The thing throws Alan into the wall and up into the air, against walls. Claiming that they have seen what he does to her – Alan stating hasn’t done anything. Throws him through the door and then we are at breakfast. WTF?? The sensitive seemed to be a complete waste of space – did nothing.

All of a sudden, the girl throws up – seems completely dazed and drugged almost. Ellen goes outside and has a smoke with the dr. Projecting psychic energy to accuse father of something secret?? Ellen asking if he could have been culpable for wife’s death. Alan questioning why daughter is doing this to him. Interview about Cynthia – states all good things – says he can’t remember her face. Dr asks why she stopped taking her medication – Alan seems stunned that he knew. Says she didn’t allow him to help her in any way – why were they going to divorce? Looking at the dr – not Alan. Dr again asks about Cynthia, states that he has done his research. Alan says that she was a fucking whore, a horrible mother. She was wicked, would stay in bed for days or just leave the house for days on end, she was evil and had a smirk. Alan had to take care of the kids, hide it from them, ended up neglecting the business. Caitlin blamed Alan. Says that he begged Cynthia to take her medication, threatened her with custody of kids – said that they were going and Cynthia just left. Caitlin came home from school one day and found her mother in bed with someone else. He then seemed to imply that this guy raped his daughter? And the mother let him? Alan ended up hitting Cynthia?

He said that he took kids and left – Cynthia apparently chased them – the police finally found them and told them that she had wrapped car around a tree. Dr starts talking about the daughter being schizophrenic, the same as her mother, she is there in the door – eyes all white and the dr gets knocked down. Looking at the film from daughters room – is being shaken, and all of a sudden, she is seems to be asleep. Things thrown around the room, trapping them. Camera in daughter’s room moves up – she is calling for dad. They start tearing everything away from the door – go in hallway – seems to be a wind storm. Cracks in ceiling, starts to fall down. Apartment seems to be falling apart around them. They get the door open for a second and Mr. White gets pushed in – the daughter is bent backwards levitating above the bed. Pushed up agains the walls, barely able to move. Daughter is yelling for father – dr tells him to keep filming. Alan trying to reach daughter – all of a sudden everything goes very muffled, grabs her hand and she falls to the bed. She turns over and is smirking – creepy!!

Someone else now taking pictures – of damage?? EMT’s taking daughter to hospital. Ellen and Alan off to hospital. Paul and Doc still in apartment. Paul turns off camera – asks Doc how/when he knew. Says probably from the time they came in the door. Flashes and moves from room to room with Paul unhooking cameras, doctor following behind. Leave one camera for the police – dr states he is going to the police station, to show their failure. Talking about going to get something to eat.

Camera still running – flickering now, hear the elevator….nothing, nothing, picture falls off the wall. Camera flickering, pans up towards ceiling – holy shit where the fuck did the chick (mom??) come from?? Nice…

Ok – thoughts on the film – I liked it quite a bit – I like Rick Gonzalez – I remember him from a couple of different movies. The characters all seemed to mesh well, there were a few stilted moments but it was still pretty well done. Not a lot of special effects but the atmosphere was creepy, even when it seemed to be light. Things started happening right away which didn’t give us a chance for much in the way of character development, which I would have liked more of. Paul, Ellen and the Dr actually seemed like true professionals, there wasn’t a bunch of screaming and running away anytime there was a noise, the Dr especially attempted to keep everyone calm even when shit was flying everywhere. This seems to be one of the bad things about the ghost hunting shows out there. So, if I am following correctly per the last scene, schizophrenia was probably not what was going on – whatever was fucking with mom (the smirk) is now fucking with the daughter?? A little ambiguous but fairly cool.

I couldn’t find a budget amount and apparently this was released in only 1 theater in the US and made a whopping $256, which is unfortunate. I think this would have played well in a theater setting with the right people watching. Supernatural stories seem to be my favorite when it comes to a theater setting just because it can be fun for the tension to build and build to finally explode all over you!

I got this off Netflix dvd and I would recommend it those who like supernatural stories. If you enjoyed Paranormal Activity, Paranormal Entity or even Lake Mungo, I definitely thing you should give this one a chance.

5 girls standing around a hole in the ground – one of them has to go down with no clothes – some sort of punishment. She really doesn’t want to and one of the other girls volunteer to go with her but the girl obviously in charge (Jenna) says no. Nicole goes down into the hold and finds a broken mirror – she says I believe in Bloody Mary several times – up top, the girls are waiting for her, appears that some guy was supposed to be down there to scare her.

A creepy hand is seen over the shoulder of Nicole – and all of a sudden you hear screaming, the girls up top believe that Scooter was down there – but Scooter shows up behind them. Tons more screaming and they start yelling for Nicole to follow their voices, she gets to the top of the steps and then is grabbed by something. Disappears and there is more screaming.

Search parties for Nicole – all the girls are there – obviously looking guilty. Nicole’s sister (Natalie) is there. She runs into Paul (Cory Monteith from Glee) who claims that Nicole was playing The Mirror Game?? Jenna claims that someone is protecting them, all they have to do is believe in her. Nicole broke the rules. Jenna’s nose is bleeding and she says that they will get rid of the mirror, that Shelby’s working.

Natalie is looking through Nikki’s room – mirror is covered up, weird painting on the wall done by Paul. She finds some pictures, one of which is the mirror with I believe in Bloody Mary printed on the back.

Cut to Natalie getting out of the shower (boob shot) then to her asleep. She hears her sister’s voice and wakes up. Orderly in a hospital? Shelby calls the others to tell them that it’s clear. Jenna and April go inside, Tab and Scooter stay in vehicle. Shelby hits April in the back of the head with a hammer – says “you’ll be able to see yourself in the mirror again tonight.” Takes her to the hole and drops her down there (no way she would be able to carry her and get her in the hole) Jenna tells April that she told her what you wanted to do and she isn’t happy - then closes the door of the hole and April is left in the dark. April immediately gets up to start running – hearing weird noises and you see a figure behind her. The figure catches April – flash to Tab and Scooter in car.

Talking about losing their jobs and Jenna shows back up alone. Jenna tells Tab not to worry about April, that she had some running around to do. April is covered in blood and trying to be quiet – still hear the weird shrieking in the back, all of a sudden she is grabbed by her head and pulled up.
Natalie speaking with some guy – about the mirror game. Paul dumped Hilary for Nicole and then Nicole dumped him. Obvious tension between the two of them – Natalie – contemplating calling Paul and does – gets an answering machine. Paul is obviously a painter – nude – with headphones on, self-portrait. In bathroom cleaning off paint, mirror explodes, gets stabbed in stomach with shard of glass. Grabbed from behind by someone and eyes are ripped out. Now see eyeballs in jars with Nicole, April and Paul written on them.

Natalie - do all these people work in this psych hospital? Some chic picks up dog shit. Some messed up guy called Railroad. Scooter calls someone (Jenna) and tells them that the sister was there. Dr is saying that everyone liked her sister – most patients seemed to respond well. Dr is taking Natalie to see Hilary – obviously hasn’t spoken. Hilary just sits there and shakes. Dark circles around eyes, starts screaming (because of mirror necklace Natalie is wearing). Upsets other patients. Hilary is restrained. Dr comes in and takes Natalie away – Hilary is given a sedative. Natalie now speaking with another Dr – the other guy is obviously a tool – told that Hilary is afraid of her own reflection – suffered some type of trauma.

The two drs are obviously at odds – Natalie is basically told to see herself out. Natalie thinks that she sees Nicole and starts running down a hallway to an empty room. Nicole is in the background. Natalie goes to restroom – takes a pill and the lights start flashing, something blurs behind her. Runs into Jenna – insists again for Natalie to wear the mirror locket – nurse. Complete bitch.

Bobby (cop?) calls Natalie from Paul’s place – not paying any attention to bloody shard of glass. Some patient singing railroad song – freaking out the railroad guy. Mirror Mirror on the wall – guy is completely jacked up – see hands picking up a tray of food (same place that eyeballs were placed). Tray of food taken by Railroad and given to Hilary. How was he able to get out of his room and into hers – obviously given key of some sort (by whom?)
Hilary takes the cover of the food tray – and it’s a mirror – she starts freaking out. The railroad guy seems to be getting off on it and all of a sudden there is someone else in the room (bloody mary) – she throws Hilary all around the room and the railroad guy goes running off. Now have Hilary’s eyes added to the collection.

Natalie – taking another pill – jeesh – druggie much?? Stupidly says I believe in Bloody Mary to the mirror which then breaks. She goes back to the hospital – runs into Dr. Daniels – is told that Hilary was discovered – self-mutilated – flash of Hilary on the floor. Natalie finds a girl who is holding a bracelet that belonged to Nicole. Railroad tells Dr. Daniels that he found it under – in the tunnels.

Natalie wants to go down in the tunnels – Luther the orderly, Dr. Daniels and Natalie – Scooter refuses – see Jenna in the background watching. Scooter and Jenna meet and she punches him in the throat – says that Scooter should have went down to protect her and Jenna’s ear starts bleeding.
Natalie, Dr. D and Luther back in tunnels – blur behind them – notice the arrows and wonder what it’s pointing to since it’s away from the ladder. Continue to move further into the tunnel – music is pretty poor. Dr. D and Natalie continue moving to where they find the mirror. Wondering what is going on and Dr. D says I believe in bloody mary – the lights flicker and Natalie says they need to go back.

Dr. D and Natalie – talks about a girl in the hospital – obsessed with her own reflection – until August 19th, 1972. She was about to be raped by an orderly (looks like that railroad guy), he broke her mirror and she pulled out his eye. Was sedated from that point on – Mary. Apparently disappeared from cell, killed a member of the staff, ended up starving in the tunnels. Modern folklore – the dr has really blue eyes.

Jenna with the orderly – obviously expecting a blow job and she wants his cell (??) opened. This orderly is a fucking tool – huge zits. Now Jenna is blackmailing him about telling the administration and the police. Orderly standing in front of door of room 22 – speaking with creepy guy who was singing the railroad song. Tells Jenna that Mary is pleased with her – Natalie is a problem – calls him Johnny (is this the orderly – don’t see one side of his face.) Tells her to purge the others – that they are a burden to them, obviously feeding Mary somehow. Jenna kisses Johnny and whispers in his ear. Had given him a key while the kiss. He has what looks like boils all over his face and is clearly considered dangerous – straight jacket and chained to wall.

Scooter and Tab – obviously just had sex – says that she (Jenna) will kill them when she finds out – speaking about Jenna – they are talking about leaving. Scooter wants to warn Natalie, Tab wants to not speak to anyone. Scooter leaves – gets phone call from the other orderly, telling him to come in (Jeff).

Coffeeshop – Natalie and her cop friend – talking about the picture of the mirror being in the basement and her bracelet. The cop is obviously an ex-boyfriend and is a douchebag – she is a crime writer. Scooter ends up going back to work (bad idea dude). Weird green light and then he sees a naked Jenna – follows her. Walks onto broken glass and Jenna kisses him – says that she’s going to watch him die. Mary comes from the ceiling – cuts away, lots of screaming and blood spattered onto Jenna.

Natalie – watching home videos – vacation – the video actually portrays all of the people as semi decent – then flickers to the mirror, static. The girls getting dressed in a room – Shelby (where has she been during this entire middle half of the movie) says that she can’t take a turn – maybe she doesn’t believe in Mary but Mary believes in her. Dr. Daniels – finds a piece of broken glass, tool Dr standing in background. This is probably some type of set up – Dr. D is probably the bad one.

Jenna down by mirror – chanting – also Johnny in his cell. Shelby calls Natalie – tries to tell her about the mirror game. Completely reveal themselves to Mary and stand in front of the mirror, chanting. That they would see something – claims that Mary killed Nicole because she took a picture of the mirror to show Paul. Wanted to warn Natalie that it would happen again – go back to New York. Drives to the hospital, Jeff and Luther – lights flickering – railroad man goes wondering off – into bathroom. Lights flickering, starts getting agitated and door slams shut. Breaks the mirror and she grabs him from a stall – ripping at his neck, blood shooting everywhere – really bad lighting. Natalie took Shelby to Bobby – states that Jenna protects Mary.
Natalie wants Bobby to go to the hospital to talk to Jenna – Shelby is very upset. Shelby refuses to go back to the hospital. Natalie and Bobbie leave Shelby along at the apartment – she starts going through the closet for clothing and discovers the broken mirror in the bathroom. Very odd camera work – almost forced perspective. Mary comes out from behind the shower block – cut away.

Natalie and Bobby – in hospital – green light down hallway again – very washed out. Bobby goes to find someone to talk to about Jenna – tells Natalie not to wonder off – of course, she does because this is a horror movie (or is supposed to be). She finds her way into an office with some filing cabinets and the key conveniently left on top, single light shining on the cabinet. She finds a file – all that is written on the file is I believe in Bloody Mary (Hilary’s file – couldn’t read it). Sees that a door is opened on the other cabinet and finds the bloody eyeballs – doesn’t say a word, just calmly appears calling for Bobby. Jenna shows up and hits her in the head, Natalie hits Jenna with something, but Jenna hits her again. Somehow they are both down in front of the mirror now, again, no way would Jenna be able to carry her down there. Show Bobby and Dr D – not sure where Natalie went – creepy smile from Dr. D, same room that Natalie was in – filing cabinets.

Jenna taking her clothes off – taunts Natalie about how Nikki met Mary face to face – then licks blood off Natalie’s face.

Back to Bobby and Dr. D – says that going to find a file – the Dr. gets the key to open the cabinet, see that there is something on his wrist, boils like on Johnny and Jenna – knew he was the bad guy!!! Natalie and Jenna in front of the mirror, Jenna chanting along with Johnny again in his cell. Bobby says that he would like to talk to Jenna, what is Dr. D looking for – pulled on black gloves and bashes Bobby’s head into desk. See the bloody mary figure – Dr. D Choking out Bobby – punches him in the face, Mary ends up stabbing Jenna in the face, gouges out eye b/c Natalie ducks down. Natalie grabs the hammer and smashes the mirror – Mary disappears, Jenna falls down, Johnny starts screaming and Bobby shoots Dr. D. Back to tunnel – weird perspective again, almost a sepia color, Natalie just gets up and walks out.

Natalie getting looked at – Luther finds Jeff – was killed by Johnny – has escaped. News person stating that patient missing. Flash down to broken mirror and see a hand pick up a piece of the mirror and laughter in the background.

Ok – just some random thoughts – pretty low budge - $70000 per IMDB. Camera work was ok – a little odd at points and with some weird perspectives. Acting was ok, Natalie was pretty decent, the girls were all just average but the cop, Bobby, was pretty shitty. Dr. Daniels did alright – nothing special. Railroad the patient was pretty freaky and the guy who played Johnny was extremely creepy.

The music was odd – was mostly in the background and so muted that I didn’t really notice it but for a couple of times and then it was very discordant. The blood was obviously fake – way too red, not any special effects to speak of. Nothing really to talk about in regards to anything else. The movie was just another straight to dvd horror flick.

Lots of questions unanswered - where did the other doctor go during all this - what happened to the last girl??

Definitely not a movie to buy – but since I got it from Netflix, whatever. Can see why it only ranks a 3.6 on IMDB

Ok – Here we are with another spoiler filled post about a movie I’ve never heard of.

Synopsis:
After a traumatizing attack on Halloween night forces Laura to become a shut-in. Her world turns further upside down as she begins to experience increasingly bizarre and frightening occurrences within her home. It is this intense situation which encourages her to seek help in the form of Elizabeth Dean, the webmaster for a popular ghost-hunting site. Dean does not believe in the existence of ghosts herself, but as the mystery surrounding Laura's nightmare unfolds, she soon becomes a true believer.

Opens with black screen and then Friday, October 31st is on the screen with a woman in a car. The picture seems really slow – don’t know if that is my copy or tv or what. Pass a sad looking pumpkin and nothing good in the mail. At her door, a blonde woman hears a strange noise but doesn’t see anything. Railroad tracks and then screams – cut to Laura (blonde) who now has cuts all over her face. She dials a number.

Cut to Saturday, October 10th the following year with Laura typing on her laptop and answers the phone. She talks with Paul about not leaving her house. A knock on her door has her reaching for a knife and then unlocking numerous locks on her door. Another knock and she opens to a woman with groceries. The film is really grainy. The women talk about getting back into the world – Laura refuses to even think about it.

Laura laying on her couch, drinking a beer and looks at the door. She actually goes to the door and opens it – good music indicating something is going to happen. She starts to step out of her apartment and you see she has her butcher knife. She attempts to climb the stairs (on her knees) and you can see the sweat beading on her forehead abd she seems to be getting nauseaus. She gets back into her apartment.

Cut to her in her bedroom – working on a poster of some kind, sends Paul an email with the designs. Gets her finger bloodied by her staple removed which she had set on top of her monitor. In the bathroom, cleaning her finger, then to her closet for a blanket and gets into bed. Her closet door opens and she hears chiming of a clock. She turns the light back off and it comes back on. She turns it off again and then shot of her in bed – it’s morning and she seems to be hot. Her closet door is closed. Back to the bathroom – she opens her medicine cabinet and everything has been moved from one side to the other. Going back into her bedroom, her closet door is open again. She frantically starts searching in all of her rooms – doesn’t see anything amiss, tells herself not to lose it. She finds a video camera and sets it up in her bedroom along with a knife under her pillow. It’s bedtime already??

You hear a deep voice call her name and she wakes up to the knife missing. She watches the footage of the camera – you see the camera actually move closer to her while she is sleeping. The knife is placed against her neck and then static. The knife is back in her butcher block – she grabs a coat and attempts to turn off her alarm, but can’t. She calls her friend for some stay awake pills – now October 16th. Back in her bathroom – she is washing her face when the water turns red and the lights go out. She goes into the kitchen for a paper towel and sinks to the floor – with a flash of lightening, you see a man sitting next to her – the next instant he is gone, but with the next flash, he is back with green glowing eyes. She runs away but you see him crawling right up to her face. That was pretty effective. The lights are back on. She is back on her laptop looking up ghosts.

She orders some ghost hunting apparatus and finds a site about ghost watching site which seems to be more of a porn site (can watch a girls bedroom for $29.99 a month. She sends this woman Elizabeth an email, who is answering the phone. She turns on her web cam? And then starts undressing in her bathroom – pants off, very nice bustier. Desktop on her bed – really? Definitely a porn site.

Elizabeth calls Laura the next day – she is a complete fraud – really – would anyone think that this woman was real? She calls Jack and tells him that she has a job. You next see Elizabeth and presumably Jack pulling up to Laura’s apartment.

Laura lets Elizabeth in – the friend is sitting on the couch. Elizabeth gets a phone call from Jack and she tells him that she is ok. She starts talking techno-babble. Laura states that she already knows the place is haunted, she needs someone to help her get rid of whatever it is. Elizabeth gets upset and leaves. The friend runs after Elizabeth – talks about how Laura is agoraphobic and the friend wants Elizabeth to help her.

Elizabeth is now back in the apartment – discussing why the ghost may be there. She takes the evp recorder with her. She calls Jack as she is leaving the building. Back to Laura and her friend – talking about what to drink. Laura knocks over the beer and then sees the pieces of glass moving to create a symbol on the floor – couldn’t tell what it was the friend does come back in and sees this.

Jack shows up at Eliabeth’s with police reports. The guy who apparently is stalking Laura is named Malculm Dixon – no mug shot or address. Elizabeth says that she needs to do some investigating of her own. She starts taking pictures of people going into the building. She starts following the friend – who buys some flowers and ends up at a cemetery. Weird music during this time – rock. Then back to the swelling score. The friend puts the flowers on a gravestone marked Kove (which is Laura’s last name). Laura’s parents – apparently her parents and brother all died a year ago.

Elizabeth is pestering Nikki – about the family and Dixon – very stilted performance – the dialogue is pretty shitty.

Back to Laura’s apartment – argument about not being able to help her – apparently Malculm Dixon killed her family. She talks about how Malculm was stalking her – taking things. When she went to the police, he murdered her family, car accident. This guy never tried to hurt her or want her sexually and then he cut her face. He kidnapped her and then cut her face and side. She says that he cried while he was doing it and that she forced him. If she told anyone, the next time would be a lot worse.

The guy carved the letter D into her side which is also what the beer bottle apparently formed a letter D. Elizabeth says she’ll analyze the evp recorder and get back to her. The evp catches some noises – not Laura. Laura and Elizabeth – talking about the night that Laura was kidnapped. Elizabeth drives the route – is outside of Baltimore (Owings Mills). Weird pop rock music again. She stops right on the fucking tracks – really?? Pulls into a driveway – and someone knocks on her window. Asks about if she wants to buy the house. She backs out – and pulls over to the side of the road to watch.

Elizabeth is asleep in her car when she hears the train – goes back over to the house, parks in front of a barn? Halfway through movie and pretty much nothing has happened! Pretty damn boring.

Elizabeth searches the barn – there is a hayloft and she sees a jewelry box – see what looks like a trap of some kind on the ladder. Like someone rigged it to know if it was moved – and it was. She steps on a string and there is a really cheesy explosive that knocks her off the ladder and she almost falls onto some tools. She is able to jump down and get the box – inside is a scalpel set and a picture album titled Rachel – woman being cut and then dead. More albums – titled Sarah, Tacey and Andrea. Empty album just saying inside all over the page with a picture of Laura.Elizabeth looks between the slats of the floor – not sure why? She then climbs back down and as she goes to leave, all the doors start shaking. She screams stop and of course it does and the door then opens. A voice is heard calling her name and to help them. She runs out like a bitch.

She goes back to Laura’s – Elizabeth says that they need to go to the police. Nikki says that he had to die, she took care of him – now they’ll take care of whatever’s happening now. They now talk about digging up his body – Elizabeth says that Laura is going to have to come along – via webcam. Nikki says that she buried him – at the house where nobody goes to. She seriously used the r word. Stupid.

Bickering between Elizabeth and Nikki – Elizabeth calls Laura and turns on the web cam. 58 minutes in. Nikki talks about a movie where kids rent a cabin and all get possessed and kill each other, lol – The Evil Dead. Elizabeth and Nikki go down some stairs into a basement. Nikki points to where she put him – really bad smell – Elizabeth pulls the plastic away to reveal a dead man. All of a sudden, the cell goes dead and you hear someone calling for Elizabeth. You see Laura standing outside the window (wtf?)

Elizabeth remembers that they didn’t cover him up and it’ll only take a second except for the fact that the body is fucking gone. The girls go running up the stairs to find the body at the top of the steps. Laura is still on the line now and his body moves – that’s not fucking creepy – seriously this movie is a joke. Nikki goes running up some stairs and Elizabeth starts taking off the camera equipment. Elizabeth makes her way up to the attic where the guy grabs her and she puts her hand through his chest. She finds another set of stairs while Nikki is hiding somewhere. They are able to get out of the house and back to Laura’s.

Theorizing – Laura thinks that Malculm wants to possess her – that he was able to manipulate his body. Laura says that she has to see this through – Nikki leaves. Laura goes down the hall to change leaving Elizabeth drinking some booze (brandy/whisky?) You see someone on the emf – locks her in her room and calling her name. Elizabeth pounding on the door, she is able to open the door and sees books being thrown off her bookshelf. Laura is knocked uconscious by a flying paperback (really?) Elizabeth is able to get Laura out of the apartment. Laura wakes up – she freaks out – when she realizes she’s not in her apartment.

Weird red lighting – back to Laura’s apartment – see Nikki coming into the apartment. This isn’t going to be good, lol. Nikof ki is in Laura’s apartment when you see a letter opener moving across the table and stabs her in the hand. She turns to run out and a dresser flies in front of her. She turns around and you get the perspective of someone running towards her, she screams and then nothing.

Now showing it is Halloween – obviously at a party. Very dark lighting. Elizabeth’s party – Laura is in a straight jacket playing a mental patient. She turns around and sees Nikki – acting weird. Laurua sees her hand and Nikki says she jabbed it with a knife. Laura goes t the bathroom, her reflection shows her face all cut up but when she looks again, there is nothing there. Laura sees Nikki again and Laura tells her there’s nowhere to hide. Nikki tells her that Laura’s parents didn’t suffer as much as Laura is going to. Her eyes turn green –Laura grabs some keys off her belt and runs off.

Laura is now outside – slow motion – Elizabeth is looking for her. Now crawling through the leaves, she looks up and see the car – still in slow motion. Elizabeth still looking for her – party is now over. She pulls off her wig and sees all the trash lying around, still calling for Laura. Some strange noises and the radio comes on as Elizabeth is cleaning off her makeup. She grabs a knife and goes into the living room – Nikki is sitting on the couch, bent over. Elizabeth goes to her and sees blood driping on the floor. Nikki sits back and blood is coming out of her eyes and mouth. She seems to be convulsing – tells her that Laura went home. The music gets so loud, you cant understand what they are saying. Elizabeth calls Jack and tells him to the house.

Elizabeth goes to Laura’s apartment – she has a gun. She slowly walks back to the bedroom – opens the door, slow motion again when the closet door behind her and Laura stabs her in the arm. She says that he has to hurt her to get into her – Elizabeth tells her to get out and Laura leaves, you see Elizabeth’s eyes go white (really fucking cheesy). Laura goes to the house where Malculm’s body is with a voice over stating that if he possesses his body, he’ll stay there forever.

Elizabeth coming down the stairs – Her eyes are covered as if have cataracts. Laura tells her that she knows M is there and let’s get this over with. Laura kisses his dead corpse (nasty) the spirit is now back in his body and it starts jerking. She tells him to scram forever that he deserves it. Laura picks up Elizabeth who is now coughing up blood. She says to call Jack – he’ll know what to do. And she dies. Whatever. She looks up and sees Elizabeth with black eyes – she smiles and says don’t worry, I’ll keep him company, we all will. Laura hears all the laughing in her head.

Now she is standing outside the door and has a bouquet of flowers. She lays down the flowers inside the building and leaves. ?? Weird.

Slow motion as she walks away – really hope this is the end. And it is. Thank god.

Ok – this is pretty much all I have to say. Stay far far away!! It’s horrid. The acting is bad, the music is too loud and inappropriate, the camera work is pretty piss poor and there seems to have been no direction.

Rating – 1/5 – booo….

Just a couple of quick thoughts before KR Movie Night starts....
1. The Pact - check it out - it was actually pretty good.
2. Ripper: Letter from Hell - avoid - the only good things in it are AJ Cook (JJ from Criminal Minds) and a couple of decent kills.
3. Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 2 - if you are a Twilight fan, more than likely you have already seen this. If not - go. It is probably my favorite of the entire series. The fight sequence at the end is AMAZING!! I know - I can get a lot of shit for liking these movies, but I dig them for what they are. So sue me.

Haven't really watched much else lately - was going to try and see The Collection in the theater and just haven't made it there yet and there has just been way too much on TV. Oh yea - if you are not watching American Horror Story: Asylum - why the fuck not? This show is crazy insane and I think tons better than last years season. Check it out.
