Default Should Live Tv Be Treated Like A Sporting Event On Social Media?

Watching dramas like S.O.A.,Game Of Thrones, Breaking Bad, ect. Do you think its on the viewer to not post spoilers as they happen or is it on the people how can't watch live to not use social media to stay spoiler free? In other words should it be treated like a sporting event? If not what time period should you give to not talk about it??

I went with yes. I believe it is the person who should stay away from social media. Especially during finales or other big shows. Sucks but in my opinion thats how it should be.

I always try to avoid the internet altogether before a big TV show or movie. Luckily I saw the Dark Knight Rises when I did, because on most of the sites I visit (like 9Gag) they're pretty much revealing one of the biggest secrets of the movie!

Oh and I missed the season finale of my favorite TV show Metalocalypse and the morning after, the ending was pretty much ruined for me on Facebook thanks to one of the fanpages. But it was my fault so no one else to blame but me.

I went with it depends. I think that using social media is good if you would like to say how much you loved or hated something but I really don't think that it is the place for giving out spoilers, especially on new movies/shows. Then again - if you know you're going to miss something, maybe you should take the responsibility of avoiding social media until you're sure that it's not going to be ruined for you.

Being so far behind on tv shows, I've learned to just skim when going over Facebook and the like. If I see a certain title come up, I keep going without stopping. It's a skill I learned thanks to people's fucking Farmville-type games and one I continue to use thanks to the never-ending political shit that's going on now.
