Iran Exits Oscar Race

Seems the country of Iran wants to blame the US for the ameteur "Innocence of Muslims" film that has been causing an uproar heard around the globe.

Iran's cultural minister Mohammed Hosseini reportedly told the Associated Press that the country initially planned to submit Seyyed Reza Mir-Karimi's "A Cube of Sugar" to the race, but that "Innocence of Muslims," which portrays Mohammed as a false prophet and sexual deviant, is too grave an insult to be ignored.

Iran actually won the Best Foreign Language Oscar just last year with "A Separation", but "Innocence of Muslims" has cause a firestorm and has lead to violent upbringings in many Muslim countries and is linked to the murder of a US Ambassador in Libya.
