Bruno strutted to the top of the box office but wasn't quite in vogue, leading to a relatively slow July session. Overall, the weekend was the least attended for the timeframe in 18 years and down five percent from last year.

That's not really a mob for Bruno. I thought it was going to do a lot worse. And I'm still baffled how The Proposal is doing so well.
Bruno was the worst film I have paid to see in over 5 years. Maybe longer, I just can't think of its equal. Loved Borat. Own Borat. Hated hated hated Bruno.
I would have thought Public Enemies would have done better than it has so far. Guess my love of old time gangsters isn't all that popular.
I was surprised too. Many people I have spoken to say that they love Depp, admire Bale, but don't care much for the time period.
Don't understand it myself as it is a fascinating era. I'd take these kinds of movies anyday over anything Victorian.
