I just watched this last night. If you own a blu-ray player please go out and buy this disk. Don't even think about it, just do it. And finally 3D works for me. Full review coming soon!
I know the full review is coming soon, but what is it about, it kinda looks like A Nightmare Before Christmas.
Here's the full review with no spoilers

Here's the plot summary:
In this breathtaking stop-motion animation based on Neil Gaiman's novel, curious young Coraline (voiced by Dakota Fanning) unlocks a door in her family's home and is transported to a universe that strangely resembles her own -- only better. But when her Other Mother (Teri Hatcher) doesn't want Coraline to return to reality, our heroine must summon an amazing amount of courage to go home and save her family.

These pics don't really do the blu-ray justice. But 3D at home finally worked for me. Guys, if you're into this puppet stuff, this movie is crazy good!
I saw Coraline in the theater during its initial run. Easily Henry Selick's best movie since The Nightmare Before Christmas (not that he produces many, given the time constraints of stop-motion). You also really can't go wrong with an adaptation of almost any Neil Gaiman story (see the under-rated fantasy Stardust, which I predict will someday reach the cult status of The Princess Bride ). The marriage of Selick's animation to Gaiman's story produced (IMHO) one of the best movies of the year, right up there with Pixar's Up. This is a must-see for any fan of the dark fantasy genre.
I'll definately be giving it a shot when I have some extra funds, always looking for a Blu-Ray that's really worth it!
