See the First Saw in 3-D
Legend Films, who will have a presence at this year's San Diego Comic-Con, passed along the following invite. It appears the company has remastered the original Saw film, directed by James Wan, in 3-D.
We've requested more info on what they'll have, specifically, on-hand at the convention, but if you take a quick glance at their website, you'll see they do 2-D to 3-D conversion. Perhaps they're working with Lionsgate on a re-release?
Meh, I love the first Saw & I love 3D flicks, but I just don't really see this movie benefit from 3D, maybe I'll be wrong, but this doesn't do anything for me...

No I totally hear you. I am curious though to see how it looks seeing how it wasn't shot with 3D in mind. I mean, can they really go back and add that in? It baffles me. I bet it comes out and it sucks ass.

Yes, the digital 3D can now be added to a movie which was not originally shot digitally. Disney remasted The Nightmare Before Christmas into digital 3D format and released it to theaters back in 2006.Originally Posted by The Butcher
I'm starting to get a bit jaded with the 3D movies at this point. I think every CGI animated movie being released this year is in 3D format (of course you can still see the non-3D version as well). The added depth is nice, but it's at the expense of color.
