    The Ides of March (2011)

    Plot: 3 | Fun Factor: 2.5 | Gore: 1 | Nudity: 1 | Scare Factor: 1 | Overall: 3/5

This was another Starz on-demand selection. My wife asked to turn it off and watch The Switch about halfway through, and then I finished it later. The second half it miles better than the first, but there are handfuls of better political thrillers out there. That being said, it's always fun to watch Clooney, Gosling, Giamatti, and P.S. Hoffman. Solid, if not memorable performances by all four.

    Office Space (1999)

I really can't watch this enough times. After multiple viewings, there are some jokes that get better. I'm a sucker for anything involving "pieces of flair." Diedrich Bader's performance as the neighbor gets better with time, too.

Chronicle (2012) Good movie. I heard so many good things before seeing it so my expectations were pretty high, not great, but good. 3 or a 3.5 for me.

The Gingerdead man! I had never seen this movie until last night. It was in with those 8 packs that you can get at walmart. Well I have to say it was pretty much complete crap :P But I still enjoyed it. I bake a lot so it kind of fit in. Not sure if I'll ever watch it again. Maybe when I'm baking Christmas cookies

Lukas' Child (aka Night of the Beast) (1993)
    Plot: 1.5 | Fun Factor: 2 | Gore: 2.5 | Nudity: 3 | Scare Factor: 1 | Overall: 2/5

The story involves a satanic cult masquerading as a film production company in order to ensure a steady stream of female victims. The sets and costumes looked good, but the acting was horrible. Plenty of tits, though. Plus, there are these two kids I took a screen shot of. I love how the kid on the left is wearing a Rude Dog shirt. Very early-'90s style, topped off with a throwback cowboy hat.

The Hills Have Eyes 2 (2007)

    Plot: 3 | Fun Factor: 3 | Gore: 4 | Nudity: 2 | Scare Factor: 3 | Overall: 3/5

I have to say I was pleasantly surprised by this. The original was OK, and the remake fell short of that, but they took an interesting approach for this sequel. The story follows a group of National Guard soldiers who get stranded near the hill people's stronghold. The kills were interesting and the final fighting sequences were outstanding. Another pass through the script could have explored some themes that are only hinted at, but all in all this was very entertaining. Final thought: What happened to the baby from the beginning sequence?

American Wedding, I enjoyed it, I remember not liking that one very much when it came out but I was laughing my ass off last night.

    Wild at Heart (1990)
    dafoe.jpg
    Plot: 3 | Fun Factor: 4 | Gore: 3.5 | Nudity: 3.5 | Scare Factor: 1 | Overall: 3.5/5

How have I not see this until now??? So weird, but fun to just go along for the ride. HBO needs to offer free weekends more often. Dafoe is God.
