I should have added that I do agree with your take. I liked the film, but I was conscious as to its biased and convoluted way of interpreting horror history.

Hadn't seen this one yet, but after yer take 42nd St, I think I'd be best off passing this one completely by, I can't help but imagine it would raise similar feelings in me.

You guys will probably rag on me endlessly for this, but I just watched BRIDESMAIDS with the wife.

    And I loved it.

Always a Bridesmaid, never a Bride, huh?

Due to the kiddo being sick, and a long weekend I was able to watch a lot of movies.
Marmaduke - this was horrible. My nieces brought this over, and I figured why not. so myself and deadgrl5676 both watched in complete boredom. What the hell this movie has to do with the comic strip, other than a clumsy Great Dane, I have no clue
Next up we watched Old Dogs. Another crap movie, the kiddo couldn't get into to this one either. I guess when you're 11 and 13 it's acceptable, but when I was that age I had no want to see stuff like this. I was an odd child.

Angel of Death, starring the one and only Zoe Bell. Although I did miss some of the story this was a kick ass movie, literally. Zoe Bell was awesome in the fights scenes, and it was just a freakin blast. She did look to be a bit buffer in this movie.

Rare Exports: A Christmas Tale- I have a soft spot for foreign films, and this was fantastic. I have been waiting a long time to see this and was not disapointed. I think that some people may have thought it was supposed to be a horror movie, but it's really not. It's more of a action film, with a creepy edge. I don't know a lot about the Finnish Santa, but he seems to be more like Krampus, fine by me. This will defiantly be added to the must watch Christmas movies. May let the kiddo watch it when she’s a bit bigger, but for now I think she can do without seeing it.

The Nutcracker Prince - I am a huge fan of the Nutcracker Ballet, and even though this is not the true to form ballet I still love it. Kiefer Sutherland does the voice of the Nutcracker Prince, and even though he is a bit campy at times still does a great job. This is a kind of creepy movie, more towards the end of the movie, but fits right in with the Nutcracker story.
