Maverick filled in perfect, he is a natural, good job man. Butcher, your Christopher Walken is so bad its good. I listened to it over and over just laughing my ass off, classic.
"WELCOME TO DIGGIN UP THE FUCK'N EIGHTIES!!!!!!" - I love that intro! Yeah great show guys. Just like Dead Star said, Maverick did a great job and I think its a good idea to include a third person again, to add to the conversation. Like you said Butch, It is nice to get a fresh persepective on movies from someone who doesn't see the movie from the nostalgia point of view.
Bad Boys is definately one of those 80's gems that i've never seen. Its sounds decent, and may be worth a watch one of these days. Commando on the other hand is one of my all time favoriate movies! The movie just flat out rocks. In a word "fun". From the beginning to the end we get non stop fun and over the top action. This movie makes me miss Arnold in action movies. I wish he still was. He always had this precence, and like BC said, he is the only one I know that can deliver certain lines like he does in this movie and still be "cool" I cannot believe I saw this movie for the first time when I was about 9 years old! My parents just let me rent it, and I was "blown away" by the action. This movie always brings back that memory of watching this for the first time. BTW - I love your Arnold impressions! You guys made me fucking laugh - "Jenny!!"
Did you guys ever hear that the same mansion that was used at the end of "Commando" was the same one used at the end of "Beverly Hills Cop"? Just a little trivia for your ass.
Oh and Butcher - thanks for the dedication of Tron! I have to revisit that myself. It seems like in the 80's, Disney was really putting out some very cool movies such as Tron, Condorman, and Flight Of The Navigator. I remember nothing about Tron except the cool light cycles and the light suits. It seemed like a cool movie to revisit. I look foreward to your reaction.
I thought I would leave you with a little Kill Count Video to show how many people die in this fucking movie! Check This out!
Holy shit I forgot about rewinders!

Incredible podcast guys! It was great to have a guest co-host on the show, Maverick did a great job! Hopefully he'll make more appearances on Digging Up The 80's and maybe even the Killer Reviews podcast.
Butcher, FYI... Dan Hedaya [Bad Boys and Alien Resurrection] wasn't on Quantum Leap. Although he does look like Dean Stockwell a little bit.
Anyways, really looking forward to another episode... I'll even leave a iTunes review when I get a chance.
Great show fellas, one of your best. Maverick is excellent. I hope you can get him on more often. I find it strange that someone so young could have that much respect for the 80's.
I listened to the show last Saturday but have been too busy to post until today, sorry. When I first started listening to the show I was preparing to take a nap. Than Maverick said something like "The Running Man is what I was wanting Blade Runner to be" which broke my effing brain to the point were I couldn't rest. It took me two hours to rationalize that one. I do understand it though. Blade Runner took me off guard the first time I watched it as well. Watching the trailer you'd thing it was an action/scifi film which it is not. It's a good thing Butcher hasn't seen it. It's Rigely Scott at his best, so obviously Butcher would hate it.
Excellent review of Bad Boys. I still don't have any interest.
I am so thrilled that BC allowed himself to enjoy Commando. It was a real treat listening to that segment. You picked up on exactly what makes that film great. It's an Arnold showcase. It may not be perfect but it has the best Arnold one-liners and a ridiculous killcount which makes a film I can watch over and over. Personally I hate the score, Rae Dawn Chong's character and the actor they cast for Bennett. I'm in better shape than Bennett. Arnold lays waste to an entire army with relative ease only to struggle with the pudgy Bennett....lame. I did love your video game analogy. The general is the level 7 boss, good stuff.
I'm glad you guys chose Rambo. I picked up the Blu-ray set cheap and have been looking for a reason to crack it open. I've always hated the first Rambo. That rant he has near the end is one the worst moments in cinema history. It makes my teeth hurt.
