PLOT SUMMARY:

In the heart of New York City, men are dying in very violent ways. They are being torn up and ripped apart...and eaten. The only connection is that they all die after hiring a prostitute. And searching for love in this city is Jeffrey...Jeffrey is a sad and lonely man. He hates his job, he hates his life and all he wants is a woman to shower with love and affection. Socially awkward and fearing rejection, Jeffrey finds his companionship with hookers. In a bizarre twist of fate, Jeffrey hires this hooker and almost instantly they fall madly in love.

Interview:

So Melissa, what's your movie about?

Eat Your Heart Out is a really touching love story about a zombie prostitute and a lonely guy who falls in love.

So they're are hookers in your flick?

Jeffrey, the leading man, is pretty addicted to the ladies, and since he is super boring he has to pay for it. So yes, lotta hookers!

Can you recommend a good hooker to our readers?

When I was based on the East Coast I used to see a lot of them. My favorites hung out in Queens right over the 59th Street Bridge. Here in LA. They are a little over priced!

So fill us in with your horror background. Have you always been a fan of the genre?

Honestly, I never watched horror as a kid only a couple films here and there. I was more in to porn. Then at about fifteen I came across my first snuff film. Yes, I'm joking. I seriously didn't know much about horror until I was nineteen or so. Joshua, (the writer of EYHO Joshua Nelson) convinced me to audition for a Troma film. That was it. I watched a couple flicks, went to some conventions, booked a role in the film and I was hooked.

What are some of your favorite horror flicks from your childhood?

Children of the Corn and PET SEMETARY scared the shit out of me (probably because they were the only ones I saw). But now I would have to go w/ some classics. TEXAS CHAINSAW MASSACRE (the original), DAWN OF THE DEAD (original), AUNT ROSE!!!

How do you like your horror flicks, gory as hell or mild and meaningful?

Gory as Hell. I am one of those people that can't do anything in moderation. If it's gonna have blood, I want a lot of blood and a lot of guts too!

If you were stranded on a deserted island that somehow had electricity and could only bring one of the following box sets, would it be: all the HALLOWEEN films, NIGHTMARE ON ELM STREET films or FRIDAY THE 13TH films? I would like to know why too.

That is a tough one, but I would have to say NIGHTMARE ON ELM STREET. When
Amanda Wyss gets killed and is being thrown across her bedroom, that was awesome. I was scared to sleep for a while after that one.

What are some recent films that you've enjoyed?

Besides AUNT ROSE (which I mentioned already). I liked SLITHER a lot. I haven't been impressed w/ some of the bigger budget "horror" films that the studios have been producing. I am not too convinced that horror and comedy are a good combination. I am willing to wait and see but so far, no.

As most people know, I'm a huge fan of pointless nudity in horror movies. Do we get to see you nude in your movie?

Nope. There is A LOT of nudity, a lot, and trust me I am a fan too!! There is a lot of me in lingerie. Actually that is all I wear in the film, but I never get naked. Nudity has never really come up? Shocking considering we are discussing horror! But as of right now I am sort of clothed. With lots of Boobs around me!!

What kind of movie is EAT YOUR HEART OUT? I assume you guys are going to a fun, gory experience right?

Yeah. All of that. It is really well written and very well acted. The story is great and there is plenty of blood.

So where's the film at now? When can my awesome readers get to view the film?

The film is days from being done. We are going to have the first screening in NY in early February. Then we hope to go to festivals and look for some distribution. The last two films we did were picked up by Anchor Bay and Brain damage. So I am sure in the next few months it will be easy to find EYHO! I will post updates on my website!!

What element of your film are you most looking forward to audiences seeing? Is it the gore, the compelling story, the hookers?

Well, it's really interesting to me how the Independent Horror Film World is really turning out some great, well acted, well written films. EYHO is definitely one of those films! I also like the fact that I don't play an ordinary Zombie. I'm not grey, I don't drool. I am a Zombie w/ Sex Appeal. The other hookers are cool too. (they just don't get to eat people!)

Anything else you're working on that you want to mention?

Yes!! A bunch of stuff actually. A horror film I did 3 years ago, ADDICTION, just got picked up for Distribution by Brain Damage Films! And I am producing and Starring in another Joshua Nelson flick, titled PINK EYE. This one is super creepy and bloody! Also lots of boobs, not mine though! We start filming in March!

And I am currently filming, HOTEL CALIFORNIA w/Tyson Beckford. This one is more of a thriller. It's expected to hit theatres in 2008. Plus, I have another exciting project I am working on called The Underground Movie Network. It's basically going to be a 24 hour horror convention that can be found on-line.

Plus, I'm going to be on Maxim Radio 2/28, talkin horror!! But ya know what, there is so fucking much just check out my site. I really plan on being all over the place this year. I am going to attend horror conventions in as many states as possible and just meet the fans!!

Oh, one last thing. What kind of clothing do you sleep in, if any? Sorry, I tend to be a little creepy sometimes.

Asking isn't creepy. Knowing before I told you would be creepy. Usually nothing unless I am super cold. But now that I live on the west coast that doesn't happen to often!

You're a really fun chick, and it's been awesome talking with you. Do you have any final comments for the readers?

I want some comments from them. I love hearing from people who are into this genre. It's amazing to find people that have watched all my films and have seen me grow throughout the years!! So email me fuckers!
