With The Avengers, Spider-Man, Iron Man, Batman and Thor movies all showing incredible legs at the domestic and international box office, it should be no surprise that both Marvel and DC Comics are being wooed for any of their established comic characters.
Yet this one still surprises me.
Warner Bros. has just announced that Brad Peyton (Journey 2: The Mysterious Island) has been given the directorial duties for the DC Comics adaptation of Lobo.
Lobo first appeared in comics in 1984 thanks to Roger Slifer and Keith Giffen and follows a Czarnian bounty hunter that is as scary looking as he is effective. Lobo is a beast of a character that drives a space motorcycle across the universe in search of his next assignment.
It’s hard to imagine who might be able to step into the role of the other-worldly character, but actor Jeffrey Dead Morgan once spoke to Superhero Hype and commented on how playing Lobo would be one of his dream jobs.
