Sin City 2 Gets Rouke, Alba

Now that the excitement over the CONFIRMED reports that Sin City 2 is going in front of cameras later this year, we can now heighten our excitement with any casting news.
The sequel – officially titled Frank Miller’s Sin City: A Dame To Kill For – has now confirmed that both Jessica Alba and Mickey Rourke will be reprising their roles as Nancy Callahan and Marv respectively.
Sin City 2 is being produced by Robert Rodriguez’s Troublemaker Studios so it is not surprising that Alba is back having worked with Rodriguez on the original Sin City as well as Machete Kills and its sequel.
Rourke, in our opinion, was a must have for Rodriguez’s sequel. Marv was the highlight of what was a brilliant and still underrated black-and-white violent action film set in fictional Basin City.
The script for the sequel has be co-written by Rodriguez and William Monahan (The Departed) and will begin shooting late in 2012 with an October 2013 release date.
