With the billion dollar success of Marvel’s The Avengers, it should come to no surprise that Warner Bros. and DC are now quickly working on bringing The Justice League of America to the big screen with the quickest path possible.
Variety is reporting that WB have hired a writer – Will Beall who recently penned the Gangster Squad – to begin hammering out a script.
No word on whether or not Warner Bros. and DC will take the same route as Marvel and have individual featured films for each of the characters to get audiences familiar before pairing them all together in a big budget extravaganza.
That said, a new Superman film titled Man of Steel is due out next year and The Dark Knight Rises is only a month away from release. And let’s not forget that we have already (gulp) been introduced to Hal Jordan and his Green Lantern alter geo with the Ryan Reynolds mess of a movie out last summer.
The Justice League of America is a DC Comic that groups superheroes including Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, Green Lantern, Flash and Hawkman.
