Things are taking shape at the Robocop reboot camp. In the last few weeks, we have reported the Gary Oldman and Samuel L. Jackson will be part of the cast in the updated movie about a cop who is injured badly on duty and is resurrected as a human/cyborg that is programmed to fight crime.
A big piece of the puzzle was finding an actor to play the head of the evil Omnicorp – the company that makes Robocop. That piece has now been found.
According to Heat Vision, Hugh Laurie (House M.D.) is in negotiations to play the evil CEO.
The reboot is directed by Jose Padilha (Elite Squad) and stars Joel Kinnaman (The Darkest Hour, Safe House) as our titled hero. Robocop is expected to start filming in Toronto, Canada this summer.
