Looks as if that Daredevil movie that no one was really holding their breath for has completely run out of air.
Variety is reporting that the rights to the Marvel comic book character that was played by Ben Affleck in a 2003 forgettable film is reverting back to Disney/Marvel Studios because 20th Century Fox was unable to get the reboot project into any form of pre-production in time. Fox had until October 10th of this year.
Director Joe Carnahan (The A-Team) was the man attached to the project but tweeted yesterday that the "idea for a certain retro, red-suited, Serpico-styled superhero went up in smoke today kids."
Carnahan even went as far as to produce a pitch to the studio but, he tweets, "DD pitch was tremendous and everyone flipped for it. The clock ticked down at Fox, that's why it went t*ts up."
If there is some good news, Carnahan posted the pitches online and you can watch both versions (NC-17 and PG-13) below.
