Warner Bros. Acquires Friday the 13th

If you were like us and were unhappy that there was no definitive Blu-Ray DVD package that included all the Friday the 13th films AND Freddy vs. Jason and the updated Friday the 13th (2009), there is reason to turn that frown upside down.
According to ShockTilYouDrop.com, Warner Bros. Home Entertainment has purchased the rights to the original Friday the 13th franchise from Paramount Pictures. Previously, Paramount held the rights to all the original film except Jason Goes to Hell, Jason X, Freddy vs. Jason and the Friday the 13th (2009).
This does not necessarily mean that my dream of a full complete box set is about to become a reality, but it does allow for the possibility. And that at least puts things in the right direction.
