From X-Men to Superman to The Munsters and then back to The X-Men again.
We reported last week that director Matthew Vaughn would not be returning behind the camera for the follow-up to the critical darling X-Men: First Class. Still scheduled for a July 2014 release, X-Men: Days of Future Past was without a director and rumours were circulating that Bryan Singer was going to go back to the franchise (he was responsible for the first two X-Men films).
Well, we can now confirm that Bryan Singer will be sitting in the uncomfortable chair yelling out orders to his hero cast.
X-Men: Days of Future Past was scripted by Simon Kinberg and is ripped from ideas stemmed from the Uncanny X-Men comic storyline of issues #141 and 142.
Vaughn sticks around as a producer (which means he gets money for doing nothing) and thanks to Singer’s relationship with some of the original X-Men – Patrick Stewart, Hugh Jackman – there are rumours that some of the elder cast may have cameos in Days of Future Past. |
